Maybe this movie will feature multiple heists in numerous ways. Maybe someone hires Lang to steal the Ant-Man suit from Pym (or he has to steal it to save his daughter): Heist 1 (at normal size). Then when Pym catches him and Lang explains the reason why he broke in, they both team up and break into the villains' headquarters: Heist 2 (at ant size).

I love Rudd and I think he is severely underrated as an actor so it will be awesome if he gets the role and can break out of his Apatow crew typecasting. I also think Rashida is a perfect choice and a great actress able to take on both the comedic elements and the drama. Hopefully this will all pan out and we will be left with one amazing movie!

I love Rudd and I think he is severely underrated as an actor so it will be awesome if he gets the role and can break out of his Apatow crew typecasting. it would certainly help Henry Pym, pr-wise, to be played by an actor that most would deem likable.

I don't mind Rudd but as Feige said Edgar and Joe are still going over the script. They have only just begun to have casting discussions. I don't think anyone has signed on yet.

A charismatic actor with some comic timing could certainly pull off the outgoing fun Hank Pym you sometimes see in the comics.

616 Jan isn't a helpless female. She was even leader of the Avengers for a while. She might be more of a flighty airheaded heiress type, but even that side of her has been developed over the decades. If anything, as A:EMH has shown, she's not a helpless female but more of a go-get-em girl who wants to be at the front of the action.

Modern Janet is far from a damsel in distress.

Ultimate Janet was a domestically abused bulimic and I thought pretty boring compared to the 616 version.

616 Janet is brash, outgoing, bubbly, flirty and charismatic. Janet is highly intuitive and deductive as well as a independently wealthy business woman and fashionista in her own right. 616 Janet would stand from all the previous Marvel Studios love interests and female heroes were as Ultimate Janet I feel wouldn't.

i'm hoping that the make the actual comic book character into someone you'd see in grand theft auto. having said that, they did just have Scott Lang break into the Watcher's home and hold him at gunpoint (ultimate nullifier); while She-Hulk tied him up.

But none of those female heroes are in a Marvel studios movie -.- He is talking about the females thus far

she's actually quite formidable as a hand-to-hand combatant. i vividly remember delivering a pretty vicious strike to some bad guy's jaw with the heel of her hand. i haven't found any jpegs of it though.

Pym could start out stealing to get back something.

First appearance of Ant Man is retrieving something and beating up the criminals.

The villain of the movie entices Pym to steal something from SHIELD(future movie tie in device, infinity gems etc etc or a piece of Ultron tech)

If Wright is planning on tying Ant-Man closer to the rest of the MCU then Pym and Lang might steal one of the infinity gems seeing as they are Marvel movies go to macguffin. Two of the gems are already confirmed with a third rumoured to appear in GoTG.

Wasn't that they point, actually? IIRC, they were deliberately carbon copying the Fox X-Men cartoon as closely as they could, even in ways that didn't make sense.

They are still polishing the script and are probably casting around about now or in the next few weeks.

Kevin Feige said we should know who is playing Ant-Man (probably both Pym and Lang) by the end of the year.

They don't shoot until next summer so I don't think we will here a official plot release until next year.

I wonder if they will be portraying Pym as bipolar, in the movie; like in the books. I also wonder if Lang (if he's in it) will be portrayed as a movie geek.

I think there is a good chance of Lang being a film geek and dropping some movie references.

I think they will probably skip Pym being bipolar. I think Disney's public relations and legal department would be weary about portraying a bipolar character in a negative light because there would be a media storm.

I also think they will ignore it because it might not serve or suit the story they want to tell.
