Didn't Marvel not do a Super Bowl ad for the Guardians?

But that was an August release. Maybe that played a part.

Maybe. I thought part of it might be that they wanted to wait until they were closer to the Guardians release date because they were worried about any promotional stuff and hype getting drowned out by the Winter Soldier. Guardians was a massive surprise hit but at the time it was a massive gamble, with WS looking like a much more sure bet since Cap was coming off the Avengers.

So I could sort of see why they might be wary of doing too much promotional stuff for Ant-Man at the same time as AOU since Ultron is likely going to overshadow it.

I still think it would be cool if AIM was involved in this film. Feige said we have not seen the last of them in IM3 and with Cross being a scientist in the films it could be cool to find out he is also a member of AIM.

If Lang and Pym are going to steal back Pym's tech then where better to have that tech stored than at the base of an hi-tech evil super-villain organisation.

I would love to see AIM as well...a goldmine of plots, villains, and tech. I was really hoping we would see AIM take the place of Hydra in AOS, but no dice.

I'd love to see AIM involved. Make them more malicious and ambitious than just Killian's IM3 plot. I'm hoping we haven't seen the last of them.

Douglas has finished his role on Ant-Man.

Well that's freaky ;)

I'm surprised they didn't give "not Douglas" fake facial hair instead in order to better match the real hair. Although I'm sure if you can see the facial hair closely enough, you probably could tell it wasn't Michael Douglas anyway.

Well that seems pretty quick. How much do they have left to go?

I figure they will probably wrap principle photography next month.

Probably be a few days of reshoots next year at some point.

Peyton Reed retweeted the concept art for the mid 80's Ant-Man animated series that never got made.

Some recent Ant-Man filming news from Atlanta.

They built a locksmith shop set in an existing shop and have multiple “San Francisco” yellow cabs parked in various locations.

A car chase scene was filmed

Some concept art for the Yellowjacket suit is floating around now.

That looks awesome. Seriously, I'm expecting this to be one of the MCU's best. I know a lot of people have their reservations but I'm convinced this will be something special. I can feel it.

Well, the armour looks cool, but why didn't they make it look like the classic Yellow Jacket suit? Or why not give this character a different name instead of sullying one of Hank Pym's identities? He looks like virtually a different character.

Looks cool.

I saw that set pic of Stoll's Cross having what looks like a dinner date with Hope Van Dyne/Pym.

The classic Yellowjacket suit would not translate well to live action at all.

It still has the fins, and it works as the next "step" for the movie's Ant-Man suit.

And how is Yellowjacket being a villain in the movie sullying the identity anymore than a villain using it for around a decade in the comics?

I like the fact Cross is Yellowjacket. It works in the context of what Yellowjacket represented in the comics - a dark time in Pym's life. In this, the Yellowjacket suit is basically Pym's work put to the wrong use in the wrong hands. It's what he didn't want it to become, and I feel that gets the general essence of the comics quite well given the deviations of the source material.
