Ant-Man The Official Ant-Man News and Speculation Thread - Part 9

Yeah I was totally surprised to see the Ants doing a lot in the film. They even used the different types of ants to their advantage. These clever little things were a blast to watch. :woot:

One thing though:
When he practices hanging out with the ants under the ground, he unshrinks when he gets scared, did he kill all those ants in the process? I was thinking about that for a whole minute during the movie.

I loved the Ant in the house near the end of the movie. That was awesome.

Ill be honest, I didn't even thing of that at the time.

Me too. Whenever we have a spider in the house or some kind of bug, my wife calls me and I go over and pick it up and take it outside.

Same here. lol. Whenever I see an insect, the first thing I look for is a small container so I can trap it and release it outside.

You mean the enlarged ant. Yeah that was cool. I really thought they would shrink him back.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those. Good lord, Marvel could give Star Wars a run for it's money in the "obsession with dismemberment" department.

It's deliberately a tribute to the Empire Strikes back since that was the second movie and we're in Phase 2.

For Phase 3, I'm fine with another SW reference as long as they don't have a group of cute, fuzzy creatures helping the title characters defeat a much stronger opponent in every film.

Regarding the spoiler, I laughed hard when it ran out of the house and the guy said "that is one messed up looking dog!" :woot: humour in this was great.

The world is not yet ready for Monchhichis vs Avengers.

I know, right? I can just see Thor calling on the teddy bear brigade during Ragnarok. :woot:

Prolly not gonna happen :o

Yup, please to report that I loved this movie. Apart from a couple of gag lines that maybe fell a bit flat, I cant really find a fault with any aspect of it.

Phase 3 is all going to be about referencing Tron! :awesome:

.... :(

Loved Ant-Man.
Loved it.
Was it perfect? No
But it was leaps and bounds better than what I expected.
Peña's Luis is what Denning's Darcy should've been in The Dark World, the type of funny that adds to the story, instead of falling flat.

Have seen it twice and will go see it again this weekend. I need to really pay close attention during [blackout]the microverse/quantum realm shrinking sequence.[/blackout]

Ah, Darcy. The comedy sidekick who got her own comedy sidekick.

Seeing it for the 2nd time tomorrow. I wanted to try and see it in 3D, but it's already out of 3D at our theater (wished we could have gone last Saturday when it still had 3D but, alas, life got in the way and we ended up babysitting our niece & (too young for a PG-13 film) nephews for 14 hours :nrv: that was a looooonnnng day)

Yeah, I feel like I missed a few things in there. Need to pay attention to it next time.

You have always Bluray 3D. I didn't see it in 3D but I am getting it in Bluray 3D if the review for 3D is good.

I am definitely going to try and catch this again in the cinema, seen every MCU movie twice at the cinema so far and it would be a shame to stop now.

Wow man. Everything Twice? That's awesome.

Age of Ultron is the only Marvel movie I've seen twice.

I think TWS and Thor2 i only saw once in theatre... guardians, i saw 4 times. :p

Yep, saw the first Avengers 3 times as well, but you know, I am a Fox/DC troll depending on what day it is :cwink:.

I saw Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Age of Ultron once in theaters. The First Avenger once, The Winter Soldier and Guardians 4 times, Ant-Man twice, soon to be 4 times, and The Avengers 7 times. XD Thank goodness for free movie tickets from friends!
