Sadly this is how many blacks think, young ones at least. And you're right about hip hop it's one of the reasons why I stopped listening to it; hell there are others that use to like the music who have stopped listening to it too.
That's cause they feel they have to fit in with their peers, just like any race feels. There is also the idea of being "black" enough as a somewhat subculture in itself. I wish people could just embrace what they like and not make it a racial thing. Even if a black guy liked country music songs, I doubt they'd be open about that lol
 
It's not easy to be young and your own person. Every kid cares about being ostracized, no matter how much they claim not to.
