HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
yeah! anybody named " CHET" probably oughta not be using that word!
and that "Nobody can tell me not to" statement.. well then Chet should go give that a try in some urban cities across the nation!

you can be a totally bad ass when you have went to school in limos with bodyguards but try that somewhere else and Chet wont be so "BIG"( hehe see Tom hanks was in that movie "Big" so i oops i digress... hahaha! freakin "Chet!" was Tom into "weird science" or something thinking about that kid!

The Chet thing reminds me of something I saw on Tumblr from Supernatural...

The average white person who says *****.
Person with glasses: “ Is this a joke?”
Person with black hoodie: “ I look like a comedian to you? Answer the question.”
Glasses: “ You look like the kind of dude who wants people to think he’s hood. But no. See the hundred dollar haircut, the Hybrid keys. I say you grew up in a ‘whitebread wonderland.’ Your dad’s probably a dentist, your mom mostly Botox, and they both bang the pool boy. Oh, and you like rap, but you’re scared of black people. Even Will Smith!”
Person in background: “ Damn!”

I'm surprised there hasn't been an asian rapper to make it big here being that they REALLY love hip hop culture over there.
For a minute I though Jin was going to be bug when he dropped "Learn Chinese"

Jin's label messed up. The final single for the album was originally supposed to be "I Got a Love" featuring Kanye West, but was later changed to "Senorita" because Roc-A-Fella Records did not want to over-expose Kanye West.

This was back in 2004 when Kanye released College Dropout and was blowing up.
Tom Hanks seems like a really nice guy, but he ****ed up with his son here. Laawd.

His son Colin Hanks seems like a cool dude but Chet seems like a entitled doofus.

The N-word isn't magic. It's not going to make you look cool or make people like you more. It won't make your crusty dry skin any clearer. It won't make your shriveled up manhood grow another three inches. If you're a white guy who's dead set on using the N-word, all it's going to do is offend multiple races of black people and make you look racist.

Simple as.

I personally don't like the word and feel the logic behind who can/can't say it is straight up illogical.

I say it, and am mostly comfortable with my white friends saying it, but context is key. I'd be offended if they used the word with the intent to be legitimately offensive/hurt someone. I am aware of how backwards that might sound, but that's how it is on my end.

Well, the origin of the word is rooted in highly illogical racism, so...

Yeah, there's that too.

And it's a word with a lot history. History that still lives on to this very day.

So, I was talking to a female friend of mine about Rachel Dolezal. She brought up the term "high yellow". This lead to a discussion of light/dark skin. Also, I saw this a few days ago...

So, I wanted to know how do you guys feel about the whole light skin/dark skin colorism issue? I mean, outside of what the media/companies portrays (we know what they tend to like). Do any of you have a preference (men, women, in general)? Oh, and if you haven't checked it out, I'd recommend the documentary "Dark Girls" on Netflix.

Eh it doesn't matter to me. Ive seen dark girls I like, Ive seen light skinned girls I like.

Honestly, I just treat the thing as a joke. I might joke with my lighter skinned friends about being lighter skinned just like they joke about me being darker skinned. Black is black

I do notice though if a company says theyre an "equal opportunity employer" and the only people of color they hire are light skinned. That has me rubbing my chin

I'm indifferent to skin tone. There are attractive dark skinned girls and light skinned girls. I don't have a particular preference.

I've never seen anyone discriminated based on how light or dark skinned they are but I'm sure it happens.

I think it's prevalent in some countries in terms of social status such as in the Dominican Republic, where some darker skin people are aren't as affluent as the lighter skinned.

The caste system is still very big in India.

Bollywood stars do commercials for skin whitening cream and darker skinned women are seen as less desirable for marriage.

I don't have preference as well. The friend who brought it up was telling me how her mother would often say that being lighter skinned helped her look better than her daughter. So, it's sad to see that even colorism happens within families.

Ironically dark skinned black folks are more "in" now regarding interracial dating. There was a time light skinned was the vogue.

I blame Lupita Nyong'o and her sexy-ass accent. :hmr:

Light, dark, green, it doesn't matter to me. There's hotness in all shades, all that matters is that they don't get on my nerves.

Damn right.

I never got guys (black, white, whatever race) who go like "I don't find (insert race) girls attractive.

I always think theyre nuts for that

That's actually guy code for "(insert race) girls usually see through my BS and won't date me."

This discussion reminded me of the John Mayer jokes that really set off his female black fans (yes he used to have some) :o

My duck is sort of like a white supremacist. I've got a Benetton heart and a f*udgin' David Duke clock. I'm going to start dating separately from my duck.

Though Mayer did acknowledge there are some exceptions: "Every white dude loved Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Or those are the ones that won't give them the time of day. As far as black women go, I don't think it's that no one finds them attractive I think guys are turned off by that stereotypical "sassy black chick" attitude some of them have.

I think it's fine to have racial preferences for who you date. So long as it's your decision and not your family.
