I'm not sure why people would be upset about a half black lois lane when most fans were fine with a fully black perry white.

More people were upset that Amy Adams didn't dye her hair than there were people upset at Perry White's race switch or Jimmy Olsen's gender swap. The more important the character, the bigger the nitpicks over who plays them.

If they ever make a Wonder Woman movie and they made Etta Candy (who's practically WW's Jimmy Olsen) black, there'd probably be like 3 people upset over that. But WW herself or Steve Trevor? There'd be a boycott campaign.

First off, I'm offended (not by you specifically, but by society) that not being ghetto is considered acting like another race entirely. I'm not "hood," so apparently I've stopped being black and am now white. It's completely absurd. It's pressuring young black people into acting ignorant in fear of being called a sell-out if they behave otherwise, and it's one of the things that's classically dragged my people down in this country!

Not only is it insulting and putting black people in some stereotypical box it is also just plain stupid.

The talking black thing makes me laugh the most.

If you want to authentically talk black then shouldn't you be speaking Swahili or something and not English or some version of it?

I have a style that's neither ghetto nor preppy.

I'm like the Big Lebowski with dark skin and clothes.

But politically I definitely fall in the usual black/progressive frame of thinking.

There's something mysterious and exotic about it.

I also like NY and Southern black slang but only when it's smooth and clever. (It doesn't come natural to me so I don't attempt it).

I don't like hood-rat/Jerry Spinger manner of speaking since it almost sounds like a parody of black slang in general.

The main character from The Last Dragon or Wu Tang is probably the closest were going to get.

I have met Asians who "act black" and usually they're pretty cool. They were mostly guys though.

If so, Chris Rock wasn't saying saying some blacks don't want to be associated with blacks in general. He was saying there's a difference between willfully ignorant blacks (N-words) and the rest (black people).

My favorite blaccent would be Jamaican.

There's something mysterious and exotic about it.

As someone who is half Jamaican I don't really see the exotic appeal of the Jamaican Patois accent especially as its usually spoken very loud and very fast.

The Baja/Barbadian accent on the other had is a very nice sounding Caribbean accent.
