So I've heard. :csad:

Hopefully the next trailer is attached to a movie I'll be seeing. :D

Same here. I'm going to see Dragon Tattoo so hopefully, the new trailer will be attached.:woot:

I know all be able to see it in 3D though because it will without a doubt be attached to Ghost Rider 2 whether it releases before or not but let's hope we don't have to wait that long to see it.

I'd die if we did.

Yeah I'd be extremely surprised if it gets attached to Dragon Tattoo, talk about marketing to the absolute wrong crowd.

Oh and...the trailer won't be coming out until it shows up on here.

If it's not there don't expect it anytime soon...sorry.

Well, it doesn't have to be rated to be put online, but if it isn't rated soon, it won't be with Tin Tin or Dragon Tattoo.

Again, there's no concrete evidence that it will be shown with Tintin or Dragon Tattoo (the latter would be incredibly unlikely), the fact that it's not even rated yet and plenty of trailers that aren't even out yet are already rated, my best bet we'll get work near the end of the month about the trailer (which will probably be released next month).

Tintin was kinda the best film to have the spidey trailer...so I don't know whats up with sony columbia here.

Agreed. Quite honestly I doubt it will shown in theaters anytime before Ghost Rider 2, also a Sony film, is released.

Releasing it online first is better for exposure anyways. Having it who with a film people are wanting to go see is a bonus, not to say people want to go see Ghost Rider 2.

Tintin is probably the only one it'll be with if they're releasing it this month. Ghost Rider 2 if they're going to hold out on the trailer release. Ghost Rider 2 will have pretty much the ideal audience.

The trailer needs to be here next week. I'll be so heartbroken if we have to wait till February.

And to be honest, it wouldn't make much sense for Sony to release a new poster, an updated site, and an ASM cover story on a magazine if a new trailer wasn't coming in the same month.

Agreed but Tintin is kinda mixed bag because it has been released already in many places overseas and wouldn't you think they'd release it with a film where they could get the trailer with EVERY screening?

I mean I understand the need to stop bootlegs here but this film needs some MAJOR exposure at this point in time. I has the spot that TF3, one of the highest grossing films of all time, had this previous year but I still think they need to promote better if they want anywhere near that sucess, which they'll need to compete with sure-to-gross-a-billion TDKR.

Agreed. I would get not releasing the trailers in theaters this month but not waiting nearly 2 whole months to release it at all.

Maybe they released the poster and upgraded the website et al in order to tide us over till the trailer comes. (which could be in feb)

Probably Sharkboy. Everything you've said in regards to the trailer has been right on.

Sony will essentially release it whenever they goddamn please.

What if they never release the trailer and try to get people to go see the movie on the sheer mystique of the movie?

It would be nice to get a trailer before the end of the year but we'll see

Then they really don't want their movie to be a success. I suppose it doesn't matter, because I take it that their announcement of a sequel release date is a sign that they're very, very confident in their product.

I don't think Sony has released everything willy nilly.

If anybody's been paying attention, they'd know that Sony's followed up with something from TASM shortly after WB releases something for TDKR.

Or in the fact that if they don't make aother Spider-Man film quick enough, the rights go back to Disney/Marvel.

Where have I read this post before? It reads so familiar? Oh I know it's when I wrote that exact same thing yesterday! :shock

After the TDKR trailer is released online. Notice how most of the recent promotional stuff has been released literally hours after WB has released something for TDKR.

Its a good strategy for a movie with little momentum going for it. The second trailer will be the defining moment for this marketing Sony has been doing.

I was referring to this. Because it seemed like you didn't have a ****ing clue about Sony's marketing plan.

Sony will essentially release it whenever they goddamn please.

It was a coincidence that I unfortunately happened to say something along the lines of what you said.

Got it? You sure? Good. :)
