Those gifs just scream BATMAN to me. I'm sorry, Bale may have had the better scripts and Keaton is unrivalled when it come to being THE live action Batman.

In some ways Keaton will never be replaced for me, simply because his was the first iteration of Batman I ever saw. The sentimental value can't be underestimated; Keaton is to Batman for children of the 80s/90s what West is to Batman for children of the 60s.

He's no longer my favorite live action version of the character, but he is on the ground floor for me in terms of how my conception of Batman was formed. And like I said, that can't be replaced.

Nor me. It's hardly an error, just something funny. Just as Joker's purple neck paint isn't really a mistake, even though they forgot to wipe it off. Joker does crazy stuff, the paint got there somehow in the midst of his antics.

Id say this is pretty damn accurate.

Imagine if we ever get an actor who feels like a better Batman than Keaton, better Bruce than Bale and a voice that practically matches Conroy?? Good God!

Was Kilmer really that bad of a Bruce Wayne. He's underrated imo.

I liked his Bruce Wayne, he seemed to enjoyed the fame too I guess it was a front to Gotham and his Batman wasn't that bad.

It's been said a million times but I think Keaton would have made a better Bruce Wayne if the scripts were different in both B89 and Returns. He never got a chance to shine as the head of Wayne Enterprises (which was non-existent in the Burton films) and we didn't see him as the bored playboy either. He was just Batman without the costume, brooding all the time!

While I agree, I actually liked it...he seemed almost detached from reality and he only interacted because he had no choice. ..like a mentally shattered person.

Yeah Kilmer was the Bruce Wayne of the comics probably more than any other actor, including Mr. Bale. Bobby Kane said that Val was his favorite Batman during an interview for the BELOVED 1997 chestnut that is Batman and Robin!

Kilmer was the only Batman we have seen undertake some problem solving/detective work. I think he was good as Bruce and as Batman, just in a shoddy movie.
