I would make it but you know, um, it's pretty, um. Yeah. So, um.

Burtons hair is the most supernatural of the bunch though.

Even if he said it, he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.

I read that quote, and ill say it again. He's an idiot. Dumb ass Burton. Shave your head.

The hair on Timmy Burtons head, which covers his face most of the time, is clearly blocking the important signals that go from the brain to the mouth.

SHH! Best Rivalry 2014: shauner11111111 vs Burton's hair

^:hehe:

Yeah, lets see your hair Shauner, so we can have a hair deathmatch! Then, and only then, will we know who has the most luscious locks!

HAIR! HAIR! HAIR! HAIR! HAIR!!!!!!

Lol, Kane...make it happen!

Burton has definitely lost some of his steam in the latter years, but I did enjoy Frankenweenie quite a bit, and Dark Shadows was okay. I really am looking forward to Beetlejuice 2 if it's still happening. I think it could be a nice shot in the arm for him, and seeing Keaton reprise that role would be legendary. My favorite Keaton role, even over Batman.

I found Dark Shadows quite boring. It lacked the kind of surrealist melodrama which makes the better Burton movies such fun.

I liked a good part of Dark Shadows, but the 3rd act killed it for me. The script as a whole really needed another revision.

Dark Shadows was pretty bland... As for Frankenweenie, I freakin loved it. It makes for a great horror double feature with ParaNorman.

The 3rd act for Dark Shadows was horrid. It started off with potential.

Oblivion is one of the best sci-fi movies in a long while and one of the most underrated blockbusters of late.

Yeah, Dark Shadows was really nothing to write home about but at the very least I enjoyed it more than a lot his recent movies. Granted that's not saying much. Frankenweenie I thought was a genuine return to form.

I enjoyed Dark Shadows quite a bit... Nothing spectacular but you could see flashes of brilliance in there as well as some classic Burton tropes.

He truly has been hit and miss in the past 10 years.

No worries...

This being the Batman Returns thread, it kinda is full of unpopular opinions, so I can see how you'd get confused...

I honestly don't know how I mixed the two up. The only thing I can think of is that I wanted to click on the unpopular opinion thread but clicked this one on accident and didn't bother actually paying attention when I hit the "reply" button.

I don't know where the quote is in the actual commentary. I linked to the blog as added confirmation that there is a quote in the commentary.

It's at about 1 hour 53 minutes into the movie:

"The ambiguous nature of Catwoman.. you start out when you see the creation with the cats coming out.. it's not like supernatural but you know we sort of feed into the mythology and the cats and 9 lives and all that sort of thing.. in the same way with Batman wanting to keep his mystery we sort of treated the same way with Catwoman a little bit and sort of come right out with it.. it's not supernatural but we don't really know.. so that just seems part of the material and part of her, that sort of ambiguous 9 life aspect, black cat, supernatural mystery."

(Apologies for the prose, I'm just trying to para-phrase here)

What scene is 1 hour and 53 minutes into the movie? Is that the scene where Schreck shoots her? Because I listened to that yesterday and it's not said there.

Fooling around taking some random shots. Loved how this one turned out of my Batman Returns "Ultimate Batman"

I always loved that figure. The detail is very good for a $30 toy. I never understood why they only made the arms movable, though. Aren't all the Kenner/Hasbro Ultimate figures like that?
