Legit bro you must really love it then. What gave it away was the medal triangle hole for the seat. My friend use to have a rx-8. Bahaha.

toddd $2150- *slow clap*.....
but seriously congrats though u deserve it

Anyone on the fence about the JBrown mask... BUY IT!! Or if you need an affordable Bane mask JBrown all the way! it looks fantastic fits comfortably and snug unlike the GCFX mask here is a comparison.

Also Jon was a stand up guy to do business with and super efficient!

THANKS BUD!

I'll post more pics when I get it painted up tomorrow.

banewagon, yeah it does look a lot better, i think it's the disappointed look on your face in the GCFX mask that really sells it though. kinda makes me wish i had the funds to get a jbrown mask! i think my noggin is too small though (at least, thats what i will keep telling myself)

what color scheme are you going with for your mask?

Also some additional info I have a 22.5" head, Jon also told me he can make it a little thicker for smaller heads which he did with mine and it fits very snug only thing is I had to cut a slit up the back to get the thing on I can't just pull it over my melon, what I am going to do is get some velcro to put on it so I can secure it together from the back and it's hardly noticable. Considering I went from a giant GCFX mask to this it's a huge difference.

Lol I kinda just answered your small head question by accident and I haven't quite decided yet I'm thinking like a really dark bluish grey I'm sure I'll decided tomorrow when I get to the lobby of hobby :D

shhh man, dont tell me that it would fit! i am making my mask and thats about all i can afford! i wish i could get a pre-made one but at ethe same time i really enjoy futzing around and making stuff with my hands. if it is horrible i have 2 costumes to fall back on.
the closest hobby lobby to me is over an hour away.. i have never been and i really want to go but the opportunity has never arisen. very jealous!

MAN THAT SUCKS! An hour away!? That's terrible lol I live literally across the street from a hobby lobby like if I walk outside I can see it haha and you're much more artistically inclined than myself that's a shame. Your mask is coming together very nicely all I was able to make was a hilter mustashe with matching hair a atilla the hun mustashe and eye brows and a black penis (edit: My FRIEND made the penis it was actually pretty detailed which kinda worried me)... all out of the modeling clay I had for the mask I was going to make which I obviously failed misreably trying to produce...

hahaha, you just gotta find your medium! mine happens to be leather- i used to sculpt but seem to have lost the gift, so i gotta make do. yeah i wish there was a hobby lobby closer, i have some friends who get plastic sheeting from there and make armor and stuff like that. i've got a heat gun so i want to play around for some upcoming projects, but the only time i'm ever up in that area is for work which is usually all day (like the weekend after this one, i have to work at a gun show friday-sunday) so i never get a chance to check it out

It's a good thing mine is painting and sketching so I'm hoping I can paint up my mask pretty well and you get to work a gun show you lucky bastard haha I try to go to every show I can down here I just turned 22 and have 11 guns and counting not bad for a years worth of collecting haha I spend way too much money on firearms and this costume has been by far the most expensive ones I've put together ever...

Also should I do a primer base coat on this thing or I was thinking of using plasti dip for flexibility never really painted a mask before and what kind of paint I've seen people using acrylics but heard it likes to flake so I don't really know where to begin the color mixing and application isn't really what I'm worried about

pfft, i have to WORK at the gun show. plus, it's not in my state so if i did want to buy a gun there i have to jump through all sorts of hoops. you have NO idea how messed up the gun laws are up here in mass. i was hoping to get a mossberg 500 for christmas but instead i'm going to get a smart phone.(yipee)
i am torn about how to feel about going to the gun show- it should be fun, but i have to take time out of my busy bane-making schedule to make a leather sling for a refinished mosin-nagant, and i'll be in a hotel for 3 days instead of working on my mask. granted, i have until this coming monday off cause of my surgery tomorrow.. if i play my cards right i can bang out most of the mask this week.... we'll see!

Yeah I was wondering about that I was like I thought Mass was a super strict state appearntly I was right haha down here in Texas I have pretty much free range lol I have my CHL and carry every day and I love that I am able to. I actually own a Moss 500 and I love it you should go through the trouble for it lol but I will say if I had to choose again I'd probably go with a Rem 870 but for now that is just on the list. Next gun purchase for me will probably be either a H&K USP tac .45 or a Sig p226 haven't decided nor do I have near enough funds for either at the moment...

But anyways I don't want to stray away from the thread topic so back on track I got my M43 combat boots today and they look awesome too bad I have to send them back because they are way to big so anyone that is going to buy them get a size smaller than what you usually wear I ordered an 11" and I need a 10" I never usually wear boots and always forget they run big...

That is so cool- if you dont mind me asking, how much did u snag that baby for?

Hey Todd, I have a question- do you do booths at like conventions and stuff like SDCC?
If so you should totally do one and sell ur bane masks there- ppl would go crazy, especially in that environment-and do like the first 10 ppl to buy one get it like 1/2 off (lol it doesnt hav to be 1/2 off im just pumpin ideas but you know) is that something you would even consider unless there are licensing issues and crap but im just throwing out an idea, no hate.:oldrazz:

Hey I found this a while back while looking at Siq Clothing's Bane Vests and this might help give you a few visual ideas for weathering your vest. Loviatar has some great points as well.

Here's the video:

AWESOME vid. I'm gonna start working on that tomorrow. As for the actual vest portion of it I think Im literally just gonna put it on and roll around in the dirt... haha

yeah, mass is strict, plus most of the stuff i'd want is hard to come by and really expensive. i think that after halloween and all of my own holiday craziness i may try selling some bane gauntlets on a larger scale (if there is enough interest) to finance the purchase of daily carry gun. got a friend who works at sig so hmmm hmmm hmmmmmm.

i always thought boots you go up a size.. i usually do but maybe it's cause i've got wide feet. maybe it's just the brand i buy.. bates paratrooper boots seem to be fairly size-accurate in my experience, but are not at all what bane's boots look like.

banewagon, are you going to get somebody to alter the new boots for you?

Well you know I'm already interested in one of your bracers haha and yes I have a Sig p238 and man I want to buy 6 more one for each day of the week! Most accurate little gun I own goes in my pocket every single day can't go wrong with a Sig my friend. About the boots I don't know every pair of boots I've bought always seem a little big I bought a pair of Double HH and I got them in a 10.5" and they're still a little big I also have a pair of Oakleys and they're also a little big annnd a pair of Chippawa snake boots and those are 10" and they fit perfect sooo just my personal experience I guess. I think I have something figured out for the straps there is a lady who has a mailbox at the UPS store I work at who does does leather work so I thought I may just ask her if I could have a few pieces of scraps and buy some buckles at hobby lobby if they have any and use leather glue? to attach them and I know you had said something about mink oil to make them a little darker cause they are very light compared to the actual boots where would one find that? walmart? hobby lobby? other than that I'm fresh out of ideas lol dunk them in muddy water I suppose haha and wear them for a month straight till halloween

yikes, man, you're gonna make things harder for yourself... how about you send me a photo of the boots with like a coke can as color reference...coke can red is the same the world over, so its a good thing to have in a photo to help gauge the actual color of things. i'll find some scrap leather in a similar color and texture and get you set up.
i have an idea of how i was going to make straps for my own boots and am planning on testing it out this week (it's not labor intensive so i think i can manage). if i can figure out a good method i can send you a set (with buckles installed) along with some contact cement (unless you have some).. if not i can send you some leather that is close in color at least.
i have SO much leather. something like 8 of those rubbermade totes stuffed with leather. i have every color, literally.

edit: i am wishing i had joined here months ago, i could have started a mini side business aging stuff and doing leatherwork for folks. oh well!
