I had those tapes too, Joker. That crafty WB getting a little Batman Forever cross promotion. :woot:

This was my first B:TAS VHS, and boy, what a double whammy of episodes:

Man-Bat is one of my least favorite characters in BTAS.

Everybody seems to love him, too. :hehe:

Man-Bat was ok. However from those type of characters, I prefer Clayface.

Most amazing show, they seriously don't make cartoons like these anymore...

I had that one!:woot: My first BTAS VHS was Cat and the Claw. The second part is actually the first episode I watched on tv as well.

Wow! Next Wednesday! That came out of nowhere. Gonna have to check that out.

Trivia
  • A sign in the episode says "Kane", the last name of Batman comics creator Bob Kane.
  • Robin, unusually, is the main focus of this episode.
  • Clayface's last appearance on the show. He would later appear in Justice League where he joined Gorilla Grodd's Secret Society in "Secret Society".
  • This episode's flashback explains how Clayface survived his apparent death in the first-series episode "Mudslide".

CN is so terrible they are resorting to playing Teen Titans episodes on the anniversary of Batman.

Oh, and I'd forgotten how disgustingly skeevy TNBA was. All the female characters suddenly have skirts so small its just wrong. Even on children like Clayface's daughter. Yet another reason I consider BTAS to have its own separate continuity. That and the perpetually red night sky. Whose idiot idea was it to remove freakin' night from the Dark Knight?

I can see a marathon of sorts being done on The HUB. Maybe. :-/

As for th sky color change, if I remember correctly, It was Bruce Timms idea to change the it up. To reflect both the style design and to show how "sick" Gotham has become. I think it may be in the Batman Animated book, which is a must for any TAS fan.

The only thing I don't like about the new style is The Joker's look.

Yeah, and what's up with the skirts?:hehe: weird.

Jokers design was terrible. And while it seems most people loved the Scarecrow redesign, I'm actually not a big fan of it, and prefer the older one, by far.
