Did anyone see Dontay Wilder go off on Dan Rafael recently? I didn't see it but I heard about it. ESPN is so bias. I don't understand Rafael's obsession with GGG, saying he's the next big thing and the world is afraid to fight him, yet puts down Wilder, even though they've fought the same level of competition. It's like they pick and choose fighters with different scales than the world sees.

Saw that. It looked so staged. I will say its getting people to talk about the heavyweight division again which has been dead for a minute. It make take some of these WWE moments to get people talking about the division consistently.

Lord I hope not, boxing in a lot of regards is already looked at as a sideshow.

ESPN, as most big networks and companies, definitely has an agenda. But the fascination of GGG is odd to me too, it's not like he's a real name yet (although he is an Olympian) and fighters like him pop up every couple of years, coming from some other country knocking out a bunch of guys nobody has ever heard of. Said it before, I'll say it again, I'll be impressed once I see him beat someone with some real notoriety and skill...

That's the thing, so is Wilder. I'm not saying Wilder is the real deal, but if people are going to say GGG is the real deal, then you have to say it about Wilder because they have fought the same level of competition and if you look at it, Wilder's has even been more impressive because ALL of his fights have ended in KO's and I don't think he's EVER been past the 6 round. With that being said, he hasn't really been tested or fought anyone.........the same as GGG but yet people hyping this guy up like he's the second coming of Muhammed Ali. He refuses to take on all challengers. He's been called out by numerous fighters but all you hear from networks like HBO and ESPN is that he's the most feared man in boxing but how many guys have called him out but he refuses to fight them?

Did anyone watch the Danny Garcia fight last night? What a joke.

Did anyone watch the Danny Garcia fight last night? What a joke.

You just insulted every joke in the world. The Peterson fight was no better. It was a horrible card altogether. You think Al Haymon is trying to destroy Golden Boy from within?

Just saw the Garcia/Salsa card and I said it before, I'll say it again, Al Haymon is bad for boxing, BAD. This whole card has his fingerprints all over it. Pros vs Joes is what it should've been called. A damn joke. All three opponents were big underdogs and over matched, and it showed.

For all the crap that Arum gets, atleast he doesn't put cards like this. When Haymon leaves with Mayweather, that promotional company is going to fail bad with cards like that.

Also, damn Broner looks like he dresses, ugly. Another joke fight. He's still ignorant and will get his ass beat when he fights someone with a pulse.

Salka's corner (and that ref) should be ashamed of themselves. They all know he had no business in there with Garcia, but they all wait until the 3rd knockdown to finally put an end to it. It was horrible to watch, and if his head had hit that canvas a little harder, they all might've had to answer for some serious negligence. Boxing isn't the type of sport to play those kind of games...

Anyone still think Haymon isn't bad for boxing, look at these two interviews with these ignorant mofos

http://www.fighthype.com/

Don't want to link directly because of the cursing but they're titled

Adrien Broner explains why a Danny Garcia fight is not happening anytime soon

Mike Stafford says fight with Danny Garcia and Peterson don't make sense for Adrien Broner right now.

Morons, they think fights with the likes of Emmanuel Taylor and the Pros vs Joes card we had last week makes sense but the top 140 fighters fighting each other doesn't? Is that idiot Broner going to wait until Garcia moves up to 147 to challenge for a title?

There isn't any damn excuse as to why Broner shouldn't be fighting Peterson, Garcia and Matthysse

Keep giving us these compelling fights Haymon.

Haymon isn't good for boxing and neither is Arum. :o

Boxing is just messed up these days. You go from one extreme in Don King to another in Haymon and Arum. I will say that boxers tend to think Haymon at least gets them paid.

All boxing promoters are a bit shady but Haymon takes it to a new level with Arum.

Shaun Porter V Kell Brook tomorrow night expect Porter to win by late stoppage.

Agreed! As for Porter/Brook...................I honestly don't know. I haven't Kell fight before but according to a lot of "experts" he's the truth. The thing is how will he handle Porter's pressure. Not sure about Porter's boxing ability but his pressure is a mofo.

Kell Brook is really impressing me. Didn't think he had a chance against Porter but he has neutralized his aggressiveness. He's really cool at all times. He's also really big!

Well deserved victory for Brook, the cleaner shots came from him, Porter was very wild

Yeah he was. He got exposed and I often wondered how a brawler like him will do against a good boxer. Brook really impressed me but one has to wonder why he hasn't fought here more often.

Well done Kell Brook. There's some great fights for him at 147lb.

Apparently Andre Ward lost his court case against his promoter and now owes him $10m and has to honour his contract. Which means he's royally f****d for the next two years.

I don't get why Ward is so pissed at his promoter. Dude has done everything right for Ward. He barely leaves California for a fight, he got title shots, he got him into the Super Six which he won, he got Dawson to come down to fight him, he has a job on HBO...........I honestly don't see why Ward dislikes his promoter so much when he has done so much for him.

Lol at the Mayweather can't read memes that have been popping up.

Not really, it's pretty sad actually. Not to say most of these guys are scholars to begin with, but he's also been fighting pretty much out the womb. That's the price you pay sometimes though, and honestly, I don't think he's too concerned with reading right now...

Agreed. I actually don't see how anyone can find it funny that someone can't read. That's one of the most unfunny things I've ever seen.

Oh please, it's hilarious. Hilarious that someone with all that money can't hire a tutor and get a basic GED. Hilarious that someone that mocks other fighters (like calling Pac dumb) can't do something as basic as read.

And don't give me that "he's been fighting out of the womb so he never had time to learn to read" crap. Pac who comes from a third world country, who only finished elementary school, learned to not only read and write in his native language but learned to speak, read, and write English as well. Guys like Marquez, Cotto, and others that come from poverty stricken backgrounds also learned to speak, read and write in English. Or someone like Hopkins who also had a similar background as Mayweather, educated himself and speaks eloquently (just look at the quote on your sig Doc, and how Hopkins speaks). So gtfo out of here with that.

Hard to feel sorry for a super rich, woman beating racist that color coordinates his expensive cars with his shoes for each day of the week that can't take time to learn to read but sure takes time from his busy training schedule to make it rain in strip clubs. If he was 18 years old, and coming back as an Olympic hero or a struggling journeyman fighter, then yeah feel sorry for him, but he's 37 years old and been a multi-millionaire for a very long time.

I don't see what being rich has to do with anything, it's not like he got rich by accident. He got rich from boxing, yes, for pretty much his entire life. His dad had boxing gloves in his crib, I mean, his life path was already laid out for him. And in boxing, education isn't that paramount. I don't think it's funny, I think it's a shame. And while Pac, Cotto & Marquez all learned a second language, it's because it was somewhat necessary in order to become bigger in the States. If boxing (and the biggest purse money) was based in another country, I think Floyd would've had to learn at least a little bit too. (and by the way, he never called Pac stupid in the traditional sense, he was saying he was dumb for dealing with Arum and not having his finances in order.)

And while I agree that it's something he should've fixed a long time ago, the facts are it's not something that's hindered him in his chosen career. I highly doubt he's the only boxer that struggles with reading and writing. Highly doubt that...

What does my sig have to do with anything? It was a direct qoute from ESPN. My gawd man! You sound more insane with your hatred of Mayweather which each passing day!
