they getting absurd with these PPV prices can't believe Mosely vs Mayorga 2 was on PPV

and for $75 to watch an even worse fight than the Paquiao fight

there is a reason the fight is getting no buzz
the casual fan and hardcore fan got burned on the last one
no way do they support this crap heck im not and consider myself
a boxing junkie
I'm kind of curious what the numbers on that abomination were. That was an old ESPN fight right there.

1st round knockout for joshua. Whyte also won by knockout. Should be interesting when they fight in december.
I missed it, totally forgot about it but hopefully it's available to view at some point soon. Will definitely be interesting to see the Whyte fight. He's really been trying to wind Joshua up, even before these 2 fights.

I didn't bother to watch last night. Was there any excitement at all in the fight?

I haven't missed I Floyd fight in well over a decade. I skipped last night.

I did to. I'm probably the biggest "Flomo" you can imagine but man! I can't even defend that fight last night. It's going to be interesting to know what the numbers were for it.

I literally didn't even know the fight was last night until I got a ESPN notification on my phone saying he won.

Man Berto didn't do a dam thing but stand there and watch Floyd but that's what Floyd does to people they can't do **** to him but Berto didn't deserve the fight and the way he "fought" proved that

I didn't see the Mayweather fight either. Some of these PPV fights are so bad I'm not interested in them even if they were on regular TV.

Berto spewed the same spiel that all Floyd's opponents do 'I'm gonna walk him down' 'throw lots of shots' blah blah, fight time comes and none of that happens.

I streamed it and fell asleep halfway through. It was routine Floyd, nothing any of us didn't expect. He's just a hard guy to box, and Berto clearly wasn't capable of doing anything different. Again, it's not up to Floyd to make the fight, if you're the challenger and want to dethrone him, you need to bring it to him, like they all claim they're going to do until they get hit. As I've said for years now, you need speed, comparable or faster to him. You need stamina to keep the attack up and most of all you need to do it intelligently. Cotto, IMO, had the best sustained attack, if anyone deserved a rematch, I think it was him.

But I hope Floyd is serious about retirement this time, he looked a little smooth, more than I've ever seen him. He's never been a strongly muscled guy at that weight like Berto or Bradley, but he's always looked sharp. I'm an unapologetic fan, no doubt, and I wish him nothing but the best going forward, but there's nothing left to prove.

Floyd's fighting in May. Lets not get crazy. I'll see how he looked on the Showtime replay, but I heard he looked a bit slow.

I honestly don't think he will fight in May. I think he will skip May to show that he's for real about retiring, allowing Manny to have a tune up fight and then they will fight in September of 2016.

Doc Samson: I honestly don't understand why Floyd didn't fight Khan or Thurman. I think he would have absolutely schooled Thurman and KO'd Khan but I would have given both guys a puncher's chance. This fight might have actually hurt Floyd's legacy more than anyone knew. I heard people at work talking about it bad! And these are boxing and Floyd fans. I honestly don't know what possessed him to fight this guy. With that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if it had 500,000 ppvs.

Just to let you guy's know a new Creed trailer has been released in the last hour. Look's awesome.

Well, as I've said for awhile now, Khan is a more dangerous opponent for Floyd in particular than Berto (or Thurman or Pacquiao too.) I got clowned for saying this because of his suspect chin, but on a pure technical level, he's a much better boxer than anyone Mayweather's faced since Cotto.

He has faster speed than Floyd at this point in his career, he's much busier, and he has a decent jab with some reach. I don't think he would beat Floyd, but he would certainly make the first half of the fight tough until Floyd figured him out.

That being said, Floyd earned the right to call his own shots, and Berto definitely didn't do anything he said he would before (and after, smh) the fight.

I say Wlad. Chocolatito is a flavor of the month guy. Wlad has done it for a minute and even though I'm not a fan of the guy, but he is underrated. I don't know how Canelo isn't in the top 10. Dude has fought and beat everyone with the exception of Floyd(and Lara)and should be up there.

I loe Wlad. He's great. He hasn't fought anyone good in like 7 years. P4P isn't just about dominating your division it is about the competition you fight, who you defeat, and how you do it. Canelo hasn't fought many relevant guys nor is anyone running from him like GGG. That being said, I'd have him at the back end of my top 10.

No boxing writer or fan worth their salt would call Chocolatito a favor of the month.

You said who has Ward beat in the past 3 years but who has GGG ever beat? Sorry but GGG does not belong in any top 5 list. Ward doesn't right now until he gets back on track but let's be real: if there is an avoided fighter out there it's Ward. The only guy I see trying to get a fight with him is Kovalev and I think the reason Ward is hesitant to take that fight is that once he puts that weight on, it's going to be difficult to go back down.

My top 5 after Floyd retires and Ward gets back on track:
1) Wlad
2)Kovalev
3)Rigondeaux
4)Cotto(disputed but there's no champion with a better resume right now)
5)Danny Garcia(he gets slack for fighting Rod and Herrara but he's legit)

We agree on the first 3 but if you look at who's where right now in there career, I'm sorry but at 33, GGG has not done enough. I think HBO has done a great job at marketing the guy. No way is he getting Cotto or Canelo next. Canelo won't fight him until late next year or early 2017. So he's going to continue to fight guys who moonlight as cab drivers. I honestly don't know why he won't fight Lara. I think the fight would be interesting for the first 5-6 rounds but GGG would KO Lara. Same with Andrade. If you notice, GGG is having a problem with slick fighters, so those are the ones that he avoids.

I really do think he has beaten excellent fighters in that span. Povetkin is really good. Haye was ultra-talented. Tony Thompson would have been a champion (i.e. titleholder) if he fought throughout the 1980s. He's knocked out a lot of American hopefuls and undefeated European studs. They were not bad boxers, Wlad just made them look bad. And that's why I think he's number one.

If Andre Ward hadn't functionally retired himself after knocking out Chad Dawson, though, Wlad would probably be number two on my list.

Wlad gets a lot of grief but he just makes some guys look average. Let's put it this way: if he was american, he'd be bigger, if not bigger than Floyd. Dude has been champion for almost 10 years if I'm not mistaken.
