Thought Wlad would win. Didn't throw any punches. Not exactly the Thrilla in Manila.

The most entertaining moment was Fury singing Aerosmith after the fight.

Fury deserved it but it was a boring fight. A rematch is on the cards I bet.

What's the odds he dresses as wonder woman for the next fight.

Poor all round though. Boxing really needs to step up.

I didn't see the fight because I got off late but will watch the replay later. I'm not surprised at all that Fury won. The biggest winner of the night has to be Deontay Wilder. He and Fury have been going back and forth for awhile now and Wilder has a good chance at becoming THE heavyweight champion of the world.

Wlad didn't look old tonight. Well, he looked old, but that wasn't the problem. He looked like he had no idea how to box. He didn't know how to throw anything other then a jab and hold. Fury would have been an easy win if he just threw to the body, heck even a jab to the body. But nope, Wlad looked like utter crap all night. Even when he needed a KO, and his corner told him, he had no idea how to do it. Even when his corner told him to go to the body, he didn't know how.

Wlad couldn't pull the trigger against Fury. It looked like Ohio State vs Michigan State last week; fighting scared with an extremely conservative offense. I like Wlad as a person, but he doesn't have the mentality of a fighter. But I'll tell you right now, Vitali wouldn't have lost to Fury.

Completely agree on Vitali. Vitali would have roughed him up on the inside. Wlad can only jab and hold at this point. He was treating Fury like he was 5'10.

Fury did a good job IMO. But Wlad is just too old and too slow. We have seen his decline in the last few fights now. I hope he retires now because he's got nothing left to prove. He's almost 40 and has a great legacy already. He might be in my top 10-15 heavyweights ever which is not bad at all. Hand to hand, his brother Vitali is better. But Wlad's has a more dominant championship legacy.

Fury vs Wilder will be exciting and fun for the heavyweight division.

Yeah you called this one for awhile. I thought Fury could win, but that he'd need a knockout to do it. I didn't think he'd be able to win any sort of decision, or maybe I just didn't think he'd be able to dominate the fight enough to get a decision without dropping Wlad. But props to him, he walked the walk...

Pretty dull fight. Wlad just couldn't pull the trigger. If Fury can't take Wilder's punches, I don't see how he beats him, his over Wlad wasn't impressive.

Glad they replayed the Vargas/Muira fight. Fight of the year right there.

I thought the Cotto/Canelo fight was real close last week, but after watching it again, sober, and without a lot of people, I had it wider for Canelo. The 119-111 scorecard was still ridiculous.

Prospect Amir Imam got upset last night.

James Degale retained his IBF 168lb title beating Lucien Bute in Canada by UD. That's what I like a champion going to a challengers backyard and owning him.

I haven't seen the Showtime card yet, but WHAT?! :wow:

For anyone who's seen it, how dominant was Degale? Bute hasn't had anything since the Froch fight, and I expected Degale to get him out of there.

The fight was closer than what the judges scorecard read but it was a clear victory for Degale. That's Dirrell and Bute he's fought in the last two fights, away from home as well.

Degale did not look good last night imo, but Bute looked as soft as you would imagine. Not completely shell shocked like before, but he doesn't look good either. Listening to the Showtime crew play up Bute like he was resurrected was painful.

I like Degale, but he took his foot off the gas against Dirrell and he shouldn't be looking bad against Bute. But a win is a win, for the time being.

I don't think he looked bad, but a legit guy at 168 would have blasted Bute imo.

Is there a reason Wilder and Klitschko haven't fought yet? And is Klitschko going to continue?

Same with everything else, boxing politics, rival networks, rival promoters, Al Haymon.

Oh. :( Was it ever on the cards? And maybe the value of it will have gone down now. Wilder vs a 10 year unbeaten Klitschko would surely have been more of a draw than Fury Wilder or a Klitscko fight after losing his aura of invincibility (to someone not that good).

It would've been the biggest HW fight made since Lewis/Rahman II. But all it was, was just talk from both camps. Klitschko saying he wanted the WBC belt and Wilder saying he wanted to unify. That's as far as it went.
