You're a bum, Docker.

That's ok. We all know your internet act is all talk. But when I see you in the ring, I promise I will baptize you!

I don't care what anyone says, staged or not, that has people amped up for that match that much more! I'm actually hoping that they both win their next matches. No doubt in my mind Fury beats Klits but Wilder against Poventkin...........I'm not sure. One thing for sure though, he has a puncher's chance. I thought he committed manslaughter in the ring Saturday!

WTF? Another robbery in favor of Garcia. Guerrero won that fight, Garcia's a chump. They don't call him Danny "Gift" Garcia for nothing.

And that announce team, all of them except for Thurman sounded like little cheerleaders at a Beiber concert for every little thing Garcia did.

I don't know man. I watched the fight and though I like the Ghost, he didn't finish the fight as well as he started. The first 3 rounds, he came out on fire but after that, Garcia started to pick him apart. I have Garcia winning by 2 points. It was a great, close fight but you can clearly see when Garcia was starting to pick Guerrero apart.

To be fair on Garcia he came on a lot stronger in the second half of the fight.

I thought Gracia got blanked for the first 4 or 5 rounds, but he kicked Guerrero's backside down the stretch. Those rounds weren't close. That being the said, the announcing crew was so bad, trying to make Gracia sound like he is Floyd or something.

For a few of those middle rounds, particularly 4-6, he did look like him for a minute. He was hitting Guerrero clean, while not getting hit. He actually looked good.

"That was a Floyd Mayweather right hand," was disgusting. The commentating in this fight was awful.

Boxing well doesn't mean you look like Mayweather. Just because he threw a lead right hand and slipped the counter punch doesn't mean he's suddenly like Floyd.

Overall, Danny's looking as vulnerable as ever but I thought he clearly won the fight.

I don't think Garcia is a top P4P guy but dude does get a lot of unnecessary hate. He looked really good in those middle rounds. The way he was able to get clean flushes and avoid getting hit was amazing at times. I'm just giving credit where credit is due.

Danny used to be my favorite fighter; after the Matthysse fight I was ready to name him a P4P fighter but since then he's done nothing but disappoint. I defended him after Herrera and I even gave him a pass for Salka, but the Peterson fight was the last straw for me. He deserves a lot of the criticism he gets today; he's taking easier fights and he's not even looking great in them.

Looking good 'at times' against Guerrero isn't that impressive anymore. After the Martinez fight, the Ghost looked like he was shot and that's pretty bad considering he's never looked that good at 147 to begin with.

Other than Salka, he's been fighting names. Herrera, Guerroro, and Peterson are names. I honestly don't know why his competition has been questioned.

Before he fought Garcia, Herrera was only used to discredit Provodnikov; he was hardly a name at the time.
Guerrero lost arguably three of his last four fights and his latest was a gift against Aaron Martinez. Danny beat Lucas who already destroyed Peterson and he didn't even fight for the unification because it was made a 143 catch weight for no reason.

Yeah but they are still names. Who else is he suppose to fight right now going up to a new weight class?

Is this a question of names or quality? You keep saying names like that is relevant to the discussion of quality opponents. It is no different then Broner fighting "names" and getting outclassed by actual good fighters.

There was absolutely no reason to fight Paulie, especially right after he got demolished by Porter. I would've been fine if he fought Peterson immediately after Herrera for the unification then moved up to fight Guerrero for his fiirst 147 fight. They still wouldn't be great opposition but the timing and lack of gimme fights (Salka, Paulie) would atleast appear better. Ever since Matthysse, Garcia has been matched very conservatively.

With the exception of Salka, were the rest in the top 10 at the time?

There's no way Malignaggi and Guerrero were top ten when Danny got around to them and the Peterson fight lost all interest after the titles were no longer part of the equation. I dont know where Herrera was ranked at the time but it couldn't have been that high, given that it was perceived as a tune-up fight gone wrong. Top ten in boxing is not as prestigious as in other sports. The bottom half of the top ten in any given division is very forgettable.

Yup. That's one of the notable drawbacks of having unnecessary pit-stop weight divisions (e.g. junior middleweight, super lightweight) in the sport.

And yet catchweights are still very common. The way it is now, we may as well have weightclasses at every pound.

That was a thorough beating. No way do Ward and Stevenson get in the ring or beat Kovalev.

Kovalev's the baddest man on the planet right now.

*sigh* yeah man, that was a grown man ass whooping right there. I use to think Ward and Kovalev was a 50/50 fight, now I'm not so sure. I think Ward is the better boxer but not sure he has enough to keep Kovalev off of him. Kovalev is also ranked way to low on the P4P list also. His resume is way better than GGG's but for some reason, he's the forgotten man. All politics.

Ward is a better boxeer. But Kovalev hits much harder and is a very good boxers in his own right. People seem to ignore just how good Kovalev's hands and feet are. This time around he made Pascal stop fighting. It was brilliantly brutal.

Kovalev, who I love, fights in an irrelevant division. Of course he is less hyped then GGG.

There's a stigma in the sport where people assume that you're not a good boxer if you have power and come forward. It's unfortunate, but I'm sure guys like GGG and Kovalev are just fine with opponents underestimating their boxing ability.

Kovalev is a good boxer which is why I changed my opinion about Ward beating him. GGG, to me, is not a good boxer. He gets hit at will and against the right guy, all it takes is one punch. For all of GGG's power, he has a solid chin and I've seen him walk through Stevenson's(the only real hitter I've seen him face)punches like they were flies. GGG was said to have hurt Kovalev during training(per Sanchez)but Kovalev tends to hold back at times. He could have EASILY got Hopkins out of there earlier but he clearly held back until Hopkins stuck his tongue out, then he went for the kill. I think Kovalev is good, quite possibly #1 p4p at this time(sorry, not sold on Roman Gonzalez either)but not sold on GGG one bit.

For sure. The technique both have shown goes unnoticed by everyone except those obviously dodging them.
