I've never watched Dark Angel, but I've heard other people say the same thing. Probably one of those cases of someone thinking, "F**k it... I made it. I don't need to try anymore." And well, if you're Marlon Brando, giving 10% is better than most actors out there. But when you're Jessica Alba, you just come off like a really pretty mannequin.

And I don't know why. Maybe because she sees acting as a gig and that's it.

Yeah I guess money makes actors arrogant and lazy, you see it all the time. It's just a shame, really.

Nine put me sleep, so technically, I guess I haven't seen it either. LOL

Yeah, I was very dissapointed with that film.

You're making it sound like she's Katherine Heigl or something. She was good in Skeleton Key and Raising Helen(I don't count this as a rom-com) and even her bad rom-coms aren't so horrible that you can't stomach it with alcohol.

Katherine Heigl is another one I loved first in on a TV show. She was great as Isobel in Roswell High... none of the flappy rom com stuff, she had a real presence.

But I will say, I do love 27 dresses

I really don't think Heigl is as bad of an actress as people make her out to be. She just either has horrible taste when it comes to picking projects (or a horrible agent) and some of her offscreen comments and antics have made a lot of people hate her.

^^ I could totally see Danny Glover (or James Earl Jones, for that matter) as Perry White. Casting Glover's son as Jimmy Olson would be genius and an inside joke, hinting that Perry White was actually Jimmy's father. And I would love to see Denzel in this film, although maybe as Brainiac or even Zod. Remember his look in "Training Day"? Great look for a villain.

Danny Glover is not Donald Glover's father. However, I think Donald Glover would make a great Jimmy Olsen!

Just curious, who would you cast as Superman? I mean, I don't think you could use Cavill here since Denzel is Jor-El.

Also... Michael Jai White for Zod, Terry Crews for Non and Naomie Harris for Ursa. That would be epic.

Brian Cox (X-Men, Bourne Supremercy, Troy, ect) would make a good Perry White

I don't know... I like Brian Cox but I think he does his best work when playing someone who is evil, deranged, or both. Perry's a little nutty, but more in an "arrogant old jackass" kinda way.

Also, for some reason, I think that casting someone like Cox would result in the same issues I had with Frank Langella in the role. When he tried to be more subtle, Langella just came off lifeless, and when he hammed it up, he acted like he had Alzheimer's. For some reason I think Cox would be the same way.

You forgot Jaleel White as Clark Kent... not a random suggestion. Remember the change he made from Steve Urkel to Stefan Urkel? Very extreme Clark Kent-ish stuff there.

I've just grown seriously attached to the idea of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Perry White

I know it's not the usual look that people suggest, but I think he's got a sort of Lane Smith edge to him. Plus he'd be incredible in the role - able to play the charismatic, but authoratative and downright scary sometimes, editor in cheif, and still have that sort of fatherly edge when it comes to Lois, Jimmy and Clark.
