lol why would WB lie that they spent a crap load of money on a ****** movie who are u to tell me what i can and cannot question?

I'll continue to say its mind boggling how Singer managed to spend that much money on an actionless movie, when movies like the Matrix can make epic CGI fights and spend less. Singer was just stupid when it came to controlling a budget, he built elaborate sets that weren't even included in film. Such as the huge crystal pod that showed routh sittin in, and the big glacier they built that led to the entrance of the fortress that just ended up in the deleted scenes.


and i have no clue why they moved smallville to friday, thats something Fox only does.

Lots of scenes and whole sequences that were filmed got cut.
The RTK scene alone reportedly cost around 10 mill. And dont forget that huge a$$ field of corn that was planted, and they ended up using CG instead.
I can see how he spent over 200 mill, easily.

IMO, the problem wasnt in what he spent or how, it was the editing.

For a young lana i'd use the girl who plays on Castle, you know his daughter, she is great and really brings a postive vibe i think lana would exude.

Cheers Bud, we all have our perfect cast, but let's be fair, we are not going to get a 'dark knight' set of Actors.

WB's will bring in cheesy actors, actresses to get the young males in and actor's who need the high profile/money again.

There are names in their that when you look at you think 'ohh them' but again with a solid performance from other names, i think it will do well. The only reason i cast Nic Cage or Travolta is because let's be fair, these guys, when serious can act and i beleive these two guys can pull off corporate ass hole to a tee - and still have that glint in their they could kill you easily - face off is an example where you see glimpses.

The Kents, they can be nailed by these two actors - they are both respectablble.

Lois Lane as Megan Fox - she will get bums on seats and with a decent Director, she will put in a Solid Performance. In all honesty the only name in their is Courtney Cox, she just annoys me.

From what i have seen, maybe not as much as you, i do think he is a bad actor - no big deal. I appreciate you may well think he is good. But it's my choice. There really is no need to contest it, in the scheme of things.

In an ideal world, if money was no object and the actors were all able to commit, this would be my dream cast, but, the chances are rare.

The elders lack compassion, emotion, these actors can pull it off. I love the idea some other poster came up with that the actor for Jor El should play Brainiac/eradicator as he appears in Jor Els image - superb idea, right old mind mess.

I'd like to see kryptonians wear versions of the superman suit - i.e caps, logo's on chest, but i'd like capes to drape over shoulders and certain capes work it certain styles. Jor El wears the superman suit, but due tot he kryptonian Sun being Red, the light filters are diferent, obviously alot darker, similar to a brilliant sunset on earth.

Superman: Brandon Routh - I don;t think recasting Routh is a bad idea at all, he looks more mature than he did when he did SR so some of the general public probably wouldn't even notice.

Lex Luthor: Billy Zane - Plays a superb villain and looks the part

Lois Lane: Rachel McAdams - something about her just screams Lois Lane to me, she is what I envision Lois looking like and shes a versatile actress

John Corben/Mettallo - David Morrisey - very good English actor and phsyically right for the role.
