That would probably be his mark 2 suit before he makes the transition to becoming Superman. It makes me laugh how people moan about Smallville, dont like it dont watch it I say. There are plenty of us who love it and want it to continue.

yeah i agree. Like maybe he starts using this suit at the end of season 9 beggining of season 10. Then he feels like something is missing and so adds the cape. I don't know but as a fan of the show this suit does work imho. viva la superman!

Amen to that.

I'm not going to sit here and say Smallville has the best actors, or the most drama, or is the most addictive show on TV. It doesn't rank up there with Lost or BSG or the like, but let's not be too harsh on it. Smallville has helped to keep the wheels of the Superman brand turning and as superhero fans, that's something we should be thankful for.

In it's earlier seasons, the show was admittedly very 'teen' and angsty - and guess why? Clark Kent was a teenager, he was in High School, and that's what the show explored.

In the last few years the show has moved on to bigger and better places, and this season in particular has been fantastic. It's now mostly set in Metropolis, and the writings and storylines are much more adult. They've introduced some great new characters along the way, and also some existing ones. The upcoming Absolute Justice 2-part episode (featuring Hawkman and Dr Fate to name but a few) is just another example of how the network is successfully using Smallville to help publicise not just Superman, but a lot of other DC Superheroes who have never successfully made it to TV or movies.

Also, they're putting their own spin on the Superman mythology. Rather than just have this guy suddenly go from a confused teen to this perfect man in a cape and red/blue suit, we're learning what drives Clark Kent. He makes mistakes. He's confused at times. He doesn't know where he's going in life. But over the last few seasons, he's starting to realise what he's capable of and what his place in the world should be. He's creating a symbol for himself, and in doing so, has come up with the current black suit, the colour of which owes a lot to his mood and feelings at the end of last season when he blamed himself for a death. In time this will change - as part of Clark's path towards his future - and the traditional red/blue suit will make an appearance soon. And in terms of phsyicality, Tom Welling fits the bill perfectly - he has the height, build, look, and more importantly, the kindness and humbleness which Superman exhibits.

Even Smallville fans like myself don't think it's the best show on TV, but it's fun, and it's entertaining - and I think it gets a lot of flak at times that is undeserved. The show is still full of promise, and not many shows can say that after 9 seasons.
yea this is how i feel about the show too. But yea everything has there likes and dislikes on things.

Here's another choice for Lana Lang

Her name is Rachelle Lefevre, she has an extensive movie/tv career although i'd say she was unknown to general adudiences:

She seems like a good choice for adult lana while this girl

plays a young lana in flashbacks. Her name is Molly quinn.

the young girl plays Nathan Fillion's daughter on Castle, she's really good in the role. The other lady has been in a lot of movies and tv shows according imbh and wikipedia. I've seen her on some tv shows before. I just think they both have the right look, and i think they could bring the right feel to the role without needing a big name star.

ok cool man, Yea as i said i just never seen either of their work from what i recall. So i dont have any love or hate for them.

Oh yes
100% yes to Rachel Lefevre, she was dropped for the upcoming Twilight.
Good actress and fits the part perfectly.

or Robert DeNiro as Perry White. I'd say DeNiro for Turpin as well but I think its time for him to be something else other than a cop in a movie.

i could see deniro as perry or dan. Though i dont know how likely it would be to get him to do a comic book movie.

whoever plays perry i want them to bring a little more life to the character so Perry is as exciting to watch as J Jonah Jameson from the Spider-man films.

Jor-El and Lara- Jim Caviezel and Lena Headey.

well if doomsday is likely to be done in a film they would probably make him a total cgi creation.

sry i was trying to say that andy serkis could for doomsday what he did for king kong and golem.

oh that guy yea they def should have someone doing motion capture work.

I'd rather Lois, and Clark/Superman end up looking like they did in STAS rather than from The Batman cartoon. They looked too young to me and Superman was too lean/small/skinny.
