The Official Colossus/Daniel Cudmore thread

My cousin says he thinks he saw Daniel Cudmore at a rugby game in England not too long ago...I told him he should have gotten an autograph

I don't know how serious he is about acting, he seems to be just along for the ride. I am sure he could get at least a few more gigs than he has received since his debut in X2

I'm more concerned about the Colossus character and his journey on screen rather than Mr. Cudemore who, like you said, seems to be along for the ride and not a career.

X3 was kind of a missed opportunity to go a bit deeper into Colossus, but hopefully we will get that in future adaptations.

Depending on how Cudmore looked with a bald head, he might make a good Tien in the Dragonball movie

LOL everyone's disappeared..... but meh Piotr shall live on in our hearts ..so is anyone reading astonishing x-men (astonishingly late xmen)

I havent been...i have the first 3 trade paper backs...im waiting for the fourth one to come out

Man...how I wish there was more of Colossus. He had more screentime in the second movie and the effects were 20 times better. There really was no excuse for him being absent in the movie for so damn long.

i agree. He's such an awesome character and for them to have made him just sit there like a lump on a log was very uncool. I think he would be worthy of a spin-off movie.

I wanted to see Colossus save Kitty and Leech from Jugernaut soooooo bad....

He should have been used better, even if they could not give him more screen time. They could have made better use of his time on screen by giving him dialect and centering the scene completely around him and his contributions.

Man I so agree. He should have like busted out of the ceiling and told them to go and him and juggernaut should have just gone at it. That would have been so badass!

More feats of strength too...have him throw a car or smash something huge, bust out of rubble, or lift something other than a TV, lol

They didn't really make Colossus feel like part of the family. More like he was just there for the muscle-power.

Nah, the girls can take care of themselves. But I agree that he should have had a little more. He shouldn't have been a main character, but he could have had a little more dialogue, and they might have improved the cure angle a little if they had added Illyana and had her take the cure (adding an angle for Colossus, too).

I think throwing Illyana in an already crowded movie would have just wasted two good characters, especially since she has not already been introduced prior to X3. I think everyone knew that Piotr was not going to be a huge character, but like you said he should have had a lot more dialogue I dunno for instance responding when spoken to.

I think they should have shown Colossus more during the last battle and having him fight Juggy would have rocked...

As a separate battle, that could have been good. I'm just saying don't have him come be Kitty's knight in shining armor (no pun intended), but he can battle Juggy on his own. ;)

Might have worked in a 2-hour movie. :word: A lot of the characters weren't important enough to get a lot of development, anyway - they were just there for muscle for the big war.

Very True, and I agree that the movie should have been longer but meh what done is done
