Apparently Colossus' skin turns into organic steel...Organic or not, the amounts of metals used to create the properties of steel would very likely set off any good metal detector, so I would assume that it would...

Not sure the truth of this or not, but it appeared as though X2 Colossus' skin became transparent, revealing the metal musculature underneath (as if it's there all the time). Personally, I think really it's more like his comicbook counterpart, where he can transform his skin to metal, so technically he shouldn't have issues going through metal detectors unless he was armored up.

Collosus is my second fav X-man, so im glad he gets a big role.:cyclops: (can you guess my fav?)

Apparently, they used a similar theory as inspiration for his look in the movie...This isn't exactly what happens in the comic, but on a visual level, it's pretty much the same..

organic steel......... more like orgasmic steel.

The face aint all that but his delicious body should been a sin to look at.

Man if only i could play his gay love interest in his next role...........

I thought he did well in x2 and wanted to see more of him.

So Yay! for the bigger part. :)

I'm okay if they show Colossus gay in the movie as long as they don't dwell on it. Like in the Ultimate X-Men comics. But they can show the human vs mutant discrimination and the straight mutant vs gay mutant discrimination. They will be some mutant kids who would feel weird being a gay mutant.

I guess you can say it would show "the difference in the different".

Again, I don't know if they will even explain his sexual orientation, or if there is necessarily enough screentime for Cudmore's character to even go down that road. Personally, I'm not a fan of Ultimates Colossus...I'm not homophobic, but to me the character isn't gay. Would I be upset if he was in the movie? No, but i think right now they have too much going on with the mutant discrimination as it is. Plus, does every movie/show have to have a token homosexual in it? If it's ingrained in the character and that's who he is, that's one thing, but I rather not have his character be gay just to reinforce how bad mutant discrimination is..

Okay I brought the crap fest that was Alone in the Dark for 3.99 just to see Daniel in it. He didnt really say much at all really but he was there present for the first half or so. I cant really judge a performance on that though.

i like the finish on the collossus in metal pic but the eyes look too wierd in my opinion

Exactly - don't change what someone naturally is just to get a box ticked - Use a mutant like Northstar who actually is gay

Does anybody else not think the term 'organic steel' is just pointless!!!!

The term organic means anything carbon based (no it does not mean anything natural, biological, or GM free) as in the element C, steel on the other hand is the metal element iron. Now where is there any carbon in steel?????? its a pointless and inaccurate description.

^I think they try to patch that up a bit..

Powers:
mutant-exotic carbon-polymer flesh gives him enhanced strength and can reorganize its structure with a charge of bio-energy so that his entire body transforms into organic steel, increasing his size, strength, speed and endurance while making him virtually indestructible and capable of surviving without food or air

i doubt they'd have time to get into colossus' sexuality in x3, unless they made a passing reference to it or hinted at it. since he's straight in the marvel universe they'll probably keep him straight in this flick.

in reference to his sexuality in the ultimate universe, i really don't see it being a stretch to make him gay since his personality is that of a sensitive, artistic type of person. it makes pretty good sense to me.

Well, organic steel makes sense in the way that he can still flex and move without any problems (he's not like the tin man from Wizard of Oz, lol)...he's steel (omnium or whatever) but the make up of his skin still allows for freedom of movement like regular skin (which, by the way, is an organ, just like the liver or intestine, etc.).

I jsut recently re-watched the X-Films and...
Out of anyone who deserves to be on the X-Team in X3, it's Colossus. He saves Siryn and then leads most of the kids out to safety, all while ready to go beat some serious ass with Logan if he had to. He kept the kids safe while waiting on everyone to return to the X-Mansion (which by my count, thats like almost 2 days of taking care of the younger/smaller students).

I'm really hoping that ol' Piotr gets some more lines and has some good scenes. We know he does the Fastball Special and walks around with the new crew and is at the funeral, but man I seriously hope he gets some good lines in there and has at least one solid fight with someone (hopefully Juggernaut).

After watching X2 i find it ridiculous that Collosus is in the same class as those tiny kids.

He is a foreign student, so although obviously older, he has the same understanding of things in English as them.

I don't think that's true. In the films he's just an older student, and an American i believe. But it might change in X3.

I think he means, that it's kinda weird to have this much older guy in the same class as some kids that are probably over 5 years younger than him...

It's hard to tell what kind of material Xavier was teaching at the end, but it's probably something general that all of the kids in the room could learn and understand, probably like a literature class or something..

i think the whole organic steel means that its coming from his body which is an organic thing and unlike wolverine colossus was born with it
