The Classic S is exactly what it should Classic its better then the SR one.

Again, not trying to be an uber Burton fan or anything, but I really would appreciate to see how his suit would have worked. Obviously he can't do it for Supes, but I want to see him incorporate it in another movie.

I rank the Christopher Reeve and the Superboy TV series suits highest, then MOS unless MOS is 100% faithful in which case I'd rank it first.

I grew up watching Reeve and when I see him, I see Superman. But that yellow belt really sticks out.

He should call Nic Cage and make a film with him in the suit. Call it ''Nic Cage, a zombies tale''

If the MOS suit is 100% accurate to the comics design then it will vastly outrank all the others. If not, I rank it even with Routh's costume and a notch below Reeve's.

Too much was wrong with the Returns suit for me to even see it in the same light as Reeve's. The MOS one is looking amazing, and if they manage to pull off the trunkless look right, I may like it the best. But until then, I still like Reeve's the best as well.

I grew up with Reeve's, give me a break. LOL

Oh, you mean the comic design that is never drawn exactly the same between artists. Okay

I am really REALLY liking it right now, just as it is. If the trunks somehow show up, that'll be even better.

Yeah, one time I saw an artist draw Superman black and purple with cargo shorts instead of trunks, and with an F on his chest.

"Every artist draws it differently" is basically the worst argument in the world. Superman has had one basic design for decades, regardless of artists' personal flourishes.

The vast majority of Superman stories ever published were drawn by the same artist, Curt Swan, so his particular version of the costume is the most canonical. Plus it's the same basic design: blue costume, red trunks, red boots, red cape, yellow belt, red and yellow \S/ on chest and yellow \S/ on cape.

Here is what I think is going to end up my pick and my findings lead me to believe the design is the middle.
I have no idea about how the belt will look like yet, or the color of the seams. (Like I've stated in my earlier post, there's allot of yellow on the seams.)

Very first one (left) is by far the best design IMO. There is absolutely nothing dated or in need of an update at all.

The Man of Steel costume is the best. The rest were good for their time but they look very dated now.

I agree...I like it slightly more than the Superman Returns suit even though I'm almost certain the new suit is without the trunks

I am just saying it is impossible to translate a costume from the comics with "100% Accuracy" when it isn't completely consistent. Of course they all follow the same basic stencil. Blue Suit, Red Trunks, Red Cape, etc. Guess what, Superman Returns followed this "basic design" you speak of to the letter, and people were still pretty unhappy. Every artist draws Superman a little differently. The size of the \S/, the neckline, the cape attachment, the trunks, the boots, the belt, the length of the cape, the suit's texture, how high his boots go up his leg, piping on the suit, the design of the shield itself, Shades of Red, Blue and Yellow.

So how are you gonna approach the concept of 100% accuracy buddy with all these differing factors?

Cavill's suit is awesome everything's good and the cape is fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was his hair, but it's no big deal. At this point I don't care if the suit has trunks or not; not sure if anyone thinks it's possible for the briefs to be a darker red than his cape and boots? I've never seen anyone manip Superman that way, but it could work out, no?
