i really hope the lack of trunks, on a costume made of primary colors, won't look like a unni, because the general public, who are familiar with the costume and aren't familiarized with the lack of trunks in the new comic book reboot, may find it funny to laugh at.

having trunks and making it fun of it is all good, but when you have a costume that looks like Superman is wearing pajama unni, the public may laugh at that am afraid

It may look good in a drawing, but in live action with a real person, it's going to look more silly than before

I totally agree with this statement, my wife says the same thing. I'm glad I'm not alone there.
Everything else from the design is very classic, from the cape attachment and how it flows, the way the boot wraps around the calf with the correct "v" cut, the Circle belt buckle, the 1940's inspired chest S design.
It's all a modern classic take.
Wouldn't make sense if they left the red trunks out.

Had myself some fun with the "fabrica de herois" flash app (check it out here....http://fabricadeherois.blogspot.com/...it's pretty cool, even if it is in Portugese) and I made a mock-up of what I think the costume will look like if there are trunks, which I still think is a 50/50 possibility either way.

If there are trunks, which I am not sure about yet. This is what I am seeing to. The seam on the thigh is not red or yellow, it's blue and made of the same material that's on the cuffs. Trunks or not, I like the suit. (In photoshop the dropper tool says everything below the belt is a dark dark red. Not blue. ?)

Here is what I think is going to end up my pick and my findings lead me to believe the design is the middle.
I have no idea about how the belt will look like yet, or the color of the seams. (Like I've stated in my earlier post, there's allot of yellow on the seams.)

I personally don't see the seams being yellow, silver maybe, but not yellow. And that red is too dull, it's nearly Returns dark, where as the pic of Cavil has a brighter red, in relation to the blue.

I've studied the image very, very thoroughly since it came out using Photoshop, my own sight and taking into account angles etc.

I may be wrong, but I'm extremely confident that the suit looks a lot like camp Blood's design from the belt upwards. The colours I'm not so sure on, but I do hope they're also the same as camp Blood's design.

I wish people would stop using the colour picker in Photoshop to see if he's wearing red trunks. The reason red is showing up in that area is due to compression and jpeg artifacting. It's all over the picture, but it amazes me how people are selectivley colour picking an area they so desperately want to be red and ignoring everywhere else.

Using the colour picker is NOT an accurate method on such a low quality picture.
Here's an experiment I did.

Oh look. A Red/orange hue is showing up on his torso and the colour picker is infaliable, so his torso must be entirely red also.

I for one hope there's a little bit more to the belt than this. It looks good, but it's not nearly enough of a filler for the sea of blue around it. It'll probably look better with the darker blue and the texture.
