He's about 5'5" right now. If he is to battle thugs in season #3, they will need to cast some shorter ones.

Nah, he isn't. That article just says he's not dated anyone and then it gives us a picture of him and Camren. I'd much sooner believe he was dating Natalie.

 

Hmmm.... I detected some unusual chemistry between Ben McKenzie ( Gordon ) and Morena Baccarin ( Thompkins ). Later it was revealed Thompkins was pregnant and they are getting married!

I'm picking up the same vibe between young David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova! I think they know each other a bit better, and I'll leave it at that!

Not to delve too deep into reality-shipping here but if your feelings about those two were true that would make a lot of BatCat fans very happy.

Camren and David has always had absolutely stellar chemistry. I mean, I was worried before they had their first scene that it would all just fall flat, and then David did that "falling-flat-in-one-second" face when he saw her, and I just knew, boy, we're golden.

However Camren is two years older than David and for teenagers that's a lot, especially when it's the girl. In contrast David's actually known Natalie since he was just a little kid and apparently really likes hanging out with her, plus she's just one year his senior.

But yeah, honestly, there might be something there, but that's for future years.

 

No baby talk here, but I do think they have " something going ". Keep in mind the two are very busy and see each other often.

These are actors, so the ability for a set romance is greater than you'd think. Each has their own trailer / room. The adults on the set are full of ahem...extra circular stuff, not suited for 1950's teenagers. Teen actors in modern times grow up real fast and on this show there are very few teens.

But yes, of course this is a factor. The other thing to point out is that their roles are perfect for them. The Selina role feels like it's written for Camren and not the other way around. David has openly admitted that one, he's bringing a lot of himself into the role, and two, the role is influencing him on a personal level. So, they display immense chemistry in their roles? You fill in the blanks!

Still I maintain that the difference between a fourteen-year-old boy and a sixteen-year-old girl is huge. I'd see Camren better suited for a normal twenty-year-old!!!

Interesting that they've shown all the villains that were in the first half of season 2 plus Fish. Could more than Fish be making a comeback?

I didn't like David Mazouz at first but I definitely think he has improved since season one. I can easily imagine him growing up to be Batman now as he doesn't seem quite as weak and vulnerable.

 

Well he was playing little kid Bruce, so vulnerability was a part of it. I like how he's developed too though.

It will be interesting to see how he [blackout]plays Bruce vs Bruce Deuce (as I saw him called on Reddit) and what differences there will or won't be[/blackout]

 

True. He just played it a little too weak for my liking in season one.

 

He was playing a kid child who had recently lost both parents. I think his character development is coming along nicely.

 

Bruce Wayne is the character with the most believable and dramatic character development on the show. I don't understand how anyone could complain about it.

 

What needs to happen now is falling into the cave, his struggle with the fear of bats and how it changes him.

 

I'm not complaining about it. I just said I didn't like the actor that much in season one because he seemed too weak to be a future Batman. I like him now because from the start of season two - the latest episode in the UK number 20 he seems more convincing as someone who will grow up to become Batman.

A small piece I wrote about him a while ago.

 

Again, he was playing a child Bruce.

Everybody starts from somewhere and Batman starts from a privileged rich kid who has his world shattered. It takes a while to get there.

Everybody remembers him making a vow but forget he was in tears and that "years passed":

 

David and Camren at 2 adoption events (1 in LA, 1 in Manhattan) in the same weekend June 3-5.

I'm amused that they're both for animal protection but also kinda sad that apparently they aren't close, otherwise they'd have retweeted each other.

 

He's following her but I couldn't tell if she was following him, she's following like 2 thousand people though

They're just co-stars and they have their own lives.

 

Oh she does follow him, though as you said she follows more than 2000 so that doesn't mean much. She (and the rest of the Gotham cast) was one of the first few persons he followed when he started his Twitter.

Yeah they both have their own lives but I thought that being quite close in age they'll be closer to each other than to other cast members, but apparently Camren is closer to Sean Pertwee, RLT, CMS, Drew Powell than to David (based on pics/ clips BTS and at cons). OTOH David logged in to Twitter to wish her happy birthday out of nowhere while he didn't bother/ know to do so for Sean Pertwee just a week later.

Out of all young cast members I think David and Clare are closest to each other, he went on vacation with her family, they both went to some basketball match with Drew Powell, Clare made him super adorable birthday postcards both this year and last year (though maybe she's PS expert and snapped together the whole thing in 2 minutes)

If him being closest to Clare is the case then it is to bad that ivy is being recast and that she won't be around anymore on the show.
