Gotham The official David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne Thread

I feel like, at this stage, we should see him still suffering from Post-Traumatic stress from his whole ordeal, let alone having recurring nightmares about the incident.

If anything, we should see him trying to move on, but unable to due to the sheer horror that comes with his recurring memories of that incident.

The things that we have Bruce going through right now, I feel like that's something that he should be doing a year or two later.

On another note, anyone else think that the actor that plays Bruce resembles almost every actor that's played a child version of the "Damian" character from the Omen series?lol

I think time-jumps are necessity. If the show played out in real time, even if the show lasts ten seasons (which I don't think it will, nor do I think it should), the show ends with Bruce at age 21. IMO, that's a little young for a Year One Batman. I'd prefer to see time jumps taking us to the point where Bruce is in his mid/late twenties.

Naaa.... I prefer the series to last for 45 years, and end with their own version of TDKR.

Likely rigth?

There actually should be a touch of being a child prodigy to explain his wide array of knowledge and skills later on, having said that, the occasional scene of him in a gi practising martial arts or street clothes going through parkour training wouldn't go astray either.

I must say, the two actors who've impressed me the most in the show so far has been Robin Taylor, and David Masouz.
David was, IMO, perfectly cast, I find him totally believable as a young Bruce Wayne, both in looks and acting ability. I'm looking forward to a few more seasons, and watching him grow up in the role some more.

Agreed

The kid can act... but they have PUSSIFIED BruceWayne/Batman....

What is the problem with "hollywood" only creating ***** men?

Oh, for heaven's sake. He's a young, sheltered teenager who's just seen his parents murdered. He's allowed to be a bit emotional.

I feel that eventually either David Mazouz will have to start bulking up a little if this show should continue or do a time jump with an older actor like a majority of viewers are suggesting. I say this only because even though this show has it's weaknesses, it has a lot of strengths and certain interpretations of these characters should be made canon somehow or at least more well known. The best way to add to that credibility is by taking a step forward in the plot to a later date in time with the characters possibly in the third or fourth season.

I think that bulking up part and growing a few inches is sort of in the works.

The problem is... he is not being emotional.. he is being a wimp... manhandled by a woman...

They are learning to fight like they are kids. A kid his age should be taking real classes. Real training to be at the level bruce wayne was before getting trained in the LOA in batman begins.

It just makes no sense... A guy like batman that has mastered all forms of combat would need to have a FAST learning ability. Yet a year later he still fights THE SAME... LAME... and getting his ass kicked by a butler.

Please... he is just a plot tool. He is no one. and it is not batman in the making. I thought when he got his father's letter: "Only if you feel the calling" then it would spark him and be the young bruce wayne we always wanted to see.

They have mishandled his character... sorry. For as good work they have done with Penguin and Riddler.... this is just bad.... very bad... pussyfying batman.

That's just dumb. David is half Sean's weight. Alfred is ex-military. The idea that Bruce could take Alfred out after one year of classes is stupid bordering on the insane.

It's the whole "Man why isn't Bruce Wayne Batman already? gosh!" thing again.

Yes, because the Batman is a sane and possible outcome.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous it would look like if David were to manhandle Sean on set?

The kid from Begins sucks
Mazouz sucks

I guess nobody can play young Bruce

There's also a jealousy factor. "Why can't I play as a young rich boy who lost their parents destined to become the legend of the night?"

Dick Grayson was waaay more badass than him at his age. :o:oldrazz:

how tall is David now? i feel like they either need to dig him into a ditch to keep the kid-Bruce Wayne appearance believable or they do camera tricks to keep making him look young and small, because in some of these scenes, he looks old enough to be that sort of age when Bruce goes off on his own and wont be coming back until he's Batman.

I think he looks his age, more or less. Maybe a bit younger. He looks 14. He is 14. He's supposed to be 14 on the show.

You could notice he's grown this last episode.

Obsolete.
