More mysteriously, why is the Joker in Nightwing completely different than the Joker in Batman? Besides the whole fear toxin thing. I realize Joker has shown up in issues such as Detective and the mini with Hell Planet (why I cant think of the name puzzles me), but I would imagine an R.I.P. tie-in would at least have Morrison's Joker.

He's The Joker. He looks and behaves however he feels like. Character inconsistencies really aren't an issue for him, unless he's randomly given super powers for no reason. Really, it would be inconsistent for his character to be consistent.

Well, I'm not talking about him being goofy one minute then scary the next. I'm talking about him having a bullet hole in his forehead, permasmile scars, a different costume, and being unable to speak one minute, and then be mark hammil's the next.

You know what, this is a copout 100%, but I'm just gonna say that the Joker's unpredictable insanity is so complete that he can change the physical properties of himself.

Either that or Morrison's entire Batman run takes place post-everything else involving Bat-characters since Face the Face, but pre-Final Crisis. Man, that sure puts a lot of **** in a small time-frame.

Well, the one in Nightwing was from the fear toxin, right?
Yeah the Joker in Nightwing wasn't even there at all; Dick simply imagined him while he was beating up on a bunch of Two-Face's henchmen.

There, mystery solved.

Kyle could imagination-punch someone.

Now that i think of it, why imagination-punch when you can imagination-sing?

stupid question : why is it written "december" (for example) on a comicbook that is out in october ?

Its my understanding that "Back in the Day" [when hip hop began:oldrazz:] the dates were 2 to 3 months ahead because of the time lag in distrabuting the books to every new stand Nation wide and over seas.

I've come to understand today though, it has something to do with the date in which retailers are allowed to return the book. I remember reading it and thinking it was damn complicated.

Question about Batman Year 100:

Was that Batman really Bruce Wayne or a descendant? I never really understood who exactly was the man behind the cowl.

OK, thanks.

Strange thing anyway.

Hey does anyone know what Metallo was after during the first arc of Superan/Batman (digging in the cemetary) ?

I think he was looking for his old body, wasn't he?

Hey, you guys think the guys at the DC office have a timeline of events, and an age timeline?

I wouldn't bet on them having a timeline of events, either.

It's possible they do. Right now, though, maybe each sub-office has its own timeline of events, at best. The Bat-office knows what's going on with Batman, the Super-office knows what's going on with Superman, the Wonder-office knows what's going on with Wonder Woman, the weekly-series-of-the-moment office tries their best to coordinate with each, and the big-event-of-the-moment office doesn't give a f*** about any of 'em.

Will Ronnie Raymond ever return as the true Firestorm? No ripoffs, repeats or rehashes? And no lame "black lantern" crap? :whatever:

Maybe if they start up another Firestorm series. As it stands, Jason makes as good an occasional cameo as Ronnie or anyone else would. Plus, he's black, which adds diversity to DC's repertoire.

I like Jason, and Firestorm is just obscure enough for Jason to end up keeping the identity, at least until some hot shot writer decides he liked Ronnie better and kills Jason off to bring back the all new but still old silver age revamped Firestorm.

Jolley gave Ronnie a nice send-off in Jason's series, and I like the current setup with Stein essentially putting Jason through the same training he gave Ronnie.
