Well they are TPB names.

It's basically Batman #655 to #675

Batman RIP is #676-681

Final Crisis Tie in is Batman #682-683

Oh, der.

Sorry, been up way too long, and I can't get out of my own head long enough to sleep.

Okay, weird question, but one that's bugged me for a while. Did Mongul start out as any type of racist caricature or is the whole thing with his name (Mongul = Mongol?), yellow skin color and squinty-ish eyes an ironic accident?

Yeah, i'm pretty sure he was created as an alien version of Genghis Khan. Warrior who went on to conquer large civilizations after rising up from the ranks. Powerful and blood thirsty. Yellow. Racism? Maybe. But more Archie Bunker Racism not so much David Duke Racism.

Archie Bunker Racism is the best racism there is.

Thanks for the answer.

AFAIK they made Mongul yellow because that was the color they hadn't used yet. Guardians were blue, Martians and Coluans were green and Korugarians and Saturnians were red. That left yellow. The name Mongul may be coincidence or it may have even been thought up after the other aspects of the character were established. His first appearance was after he had been overthrown and exiled by his people.

When Jason Todd was killed, how was his death covered up? I'm sure the adopted son of a Billionaire would be noticed missing by the media at some point.

In JLA: OWAW #1 you have several JLAers fighting in space. Now, I understand that Plastic Man might be able to breathe there out of some weird explanation because of his physiology, and I know that Aquaman can survive the cold if he holds his breath so I'm assuming Wondie can do the same...

But how does Aquaman, Wonder Woman, or the Flash last as long as they do in space? I mean hard to believe that Aquaman and Wondie are holding their breath when they are getting hit and such (especially when they are drawn to be having their mouths open) and I don't know all about the Speed Force and if it somehow protects Wally in space.

I haven't read all of OWAW I only bought this issue because it's when Aquaman is "killed" but this caught my attention and brought confusion.

It wasn't covered up, although they made sure he wasn't found in the Robin outfit.

Really? How did Bruce Wayne's carefree playboy image survive the death of a child? That's the kind of tragedy that deepens even the shallowest *****e.

It was explained the Jason died in a freak accident in an other country.

The media doent care for accident that arent investigated with out a sence of cover ups.

But Bruce Wayne still lost a kid. You'd think that would change the general opinion about him.

He probably just laughed it off on TV. "Oh, yeah, that was too bad for Jason. Freak accident and all, but I'm rich so I move on and everyone else should too". General nods from Gotham's general public, and it's old news

Kids do die all the time in Gotham, among all the other people.

I suppose. Gotham does seem like the place where, if a celebrity loses a kid, most people's reaction would be, "Yeah? Join the club."

I dont see why.

The idea was that they were in Ethiopia tring to take care of the sick and the Hungry when the warehouse exploded.

Most people would think it was a freak accident, the conspiracy nuts would think it was terrorism, or some revenge plot on Bruce.

I really dont see why it would reflect badly on Bruce.

Who said it would reflect badly on Bruce? I was thinking more along the lines of pity and feeling like there may be more to this apparently shallow playboy than it seems, being a parent who lost a child.

Don't try to apply logic to much of anything in OWAW.

Or Superhero comics in general really. Best not to think about it too hard. When in doubt, Green Lantern did it with, I don't know, a bubble or something.

I dunno. Applying science to comics is fun. I have a paperback somewhere that covers the physics behind various heroes, such as The Atom's shrinking, Giant Man's growth, Superman's pre-flight jumping days, Shadowcat's wallphasing, and more.

Yeah, it can be fun, but expecting it to stay consistent can be maddening. One week, Superman can one-punch Darkseid, the next week, Darkseid's second in power only to God. No explanation given for it, it just happens.

Scientists now say that you can survive longer in space by not holding your breath. If you hold your breath then the difference in pressure makes your lungs explode.

But how does Aquaman, Wonder Woman, or the Flash last as long as they do in space?
Invisible breath masks.

No seriously.

Wonder Woman's invisible plane has the ability to transform into different shapes, as well as split off into different invisible equipment. Which includes masks that provide oxygen.

So, every time Leaguers are in space and breathing, just assume that they are using that equipment.
