The Official DC Stupid Question Thread....

That only kinda answers the question, that is of course a reason to buy it i just want to know if the story is worth a buy or read in borders.

Hey, so what happened to the Manhunter story about abortion? They were soliciting it and everything. It was even in the Next Issue blurbs for the last couple issues.

Wouldn't be the first time DC didn't deliver a story as solicited.

Pff, Doom has Doombots made to look like other people for appearance's sake who help him run things. :o

Seriously, though, I doubt there's any kind of university system in Latveria. Certainly nothing that could grant a doctoral degree in anything. Doom himself was educated elsewhere, so if he does have any cabinet members and ministers and such, he probably just hand-picks the most promising individuals from the lower-level education system within Latveria and sends them off to universities elsewhere with strong warnings to disbelieve all of the other countries' lies about him and their beloved homeland, then installs them when they come back with a working knowledge of politics and administration.

I know I'm a little late responding to this, but....

I see your point, but Doom seems to hold intellectualism in such high regard in comparison to everything else, I think he would have made one of his goals when "saving" Latveria, which is what he saw his initial coup as, creating a better, purely Latverian system of education. Also, which would be easier when you're a dictator, fixing the schools you already have, or having to re-educate everyone from your country when they come back from college?

This should be an easy one for the folks in here. Where'd the T-Rex in the Batcave come from?

wakka-wakka?

Are you trying to tell me the coin is really pac-man in disguise?

<Ha! I kill me!>

didn't the dinosaur come from Dinosaur Island? it was some old and crappy story from the 60's or something. but because of its crappiness it is inherently awesome.

He was making a Fozzy Bear reference :o

Why yes, yes he was. Of course the execution was a bit off as a proper fozzy bear reference would have contained not one, not two, but three wockas, but what a-hole would be as shallow and pedantic as Lois' meatloaf to overtly point that out? Wait a minute. Awwww, dammit, I fell for the bait and now you've gone and made me into the bad guy. And without another Gordon Schumway reference to pull my fat from the fire. My goose is cooked. And the capital of Nebraska is Lincoln.

The comedy stylings of Dennis Miller, everyone.

Dc can't use the rights to Superboy's name...can't they just bring back Conner under the alias of Power Boy?

im pretty sure if they brought back Con-El they want him linked to "Superman". personally i thought he went out great so i don't want him back. besides wasn't there already a Powerboy?

He's dead. Besides, Power Girl is a Superman relative, and her name doesn't have Super in it.

Conner couldn't come back under the name Power Boy. Supergirl had a stalker named Power Boy.

DC can use "Superboy" again. They've been doing so in Legion of Three Worlds, in fact. Superman Prime is back to Superboy Prime in that, and I think even the other Legionnaires have mentioned Superman's time as Superboy, as well.

Has the new Superwoman's identity been revealed?

Soooo I bet this question gets asked a lot, especially right now it seems to be a hot button issue but whatever.

I don't read DC, I only care for Batman on that side of the pond. I tried reading Batman R.I.P. but the whole time I was just like, "Wait... what? Who... when?" and I tried reading some of Morrison's other stories beforehand just to catch up but it didn't help much. The ending in particular left me pretty confused, I assumed Batman/Bruce Wayne died when that helicopter crashed with him and the Black Glove dude.

But now I'm hearing that he died in Final Crisis. So where/when did he actually die? In Batman R.I.P. or Final Crisis? And if he did die in FC how, where was the transition from almost dying in that crash to be killed by Darkseid?

I understand that this may be a complicated question, requiring a lengthily explanation. I tried reading wikipedia but it was kind of vague and possibly not up to date. So any attempt at an answer would be much appreciated.

I just wanna know what happened to Batsy :csad:

If you don't mind being hugely spoiled, [blackout]he didn't die in the helicopter crash, he died in Final Crisis #6 and he was resurrected in Final Crisis #7, but he's been transported either to prehistoric times or to another Earth in the Multiverse.[/blackout]

I didn't get FC7's ending. I really was confused by who that was on the last page.

I'm just going on hearsay from others. I'm not reading it until June, when the hardcover comes out. :o
