The Official DC Stupid Question Thread....

True. And...in theory, at least...the periodic table as we know it would only expand as new planets unveiled new elements to us. Like ice-cream.

Well, as elements are defined by how many protons are in an atom, scientists on Earth have been adding protons to atoms in labs and seeing what comes out. The higher the amount of protons are added, the more unstable an atom becomes. So therefore, all planets around the universe would run on the same amount of useable elements, give or take.

And as for Krypton, the noble gas, noble gases don't change shape of form. They're already completely stable and don't ask for more neutrons or electrons.

When George Perez got almost ALL of the DC divine based characters together in his Wonder Woman run (Fury was left out for sure, both of her) Darkseid is declared one of the Gods of War, along with Mars and Ares. Which was notable because they were calling for an end to the hostilities at that point. ;)

Metron is the God of Science, he told that to Brainiac 5 once. Seemed upset Brainy didn't worship himfor some reason.

Lightray is a God of light and movement. Orion is not a god of War, he's a specialist, the God of Melee.

Desaad: God of Deciet. Granny Goodness: Goddess of Troop Unity.

I guess this would make Highfather a god of Peace.

Can't believe I'm inquiring about anything Batman related but what is Tim going to do now that he's not Robin anymore?

Become Red Robin and search for Bruce, by the sound of the Red Robin solicitations.

OK I HAVE A AN
"Official DC Stupid Question"
Can Metamorpho The Element Man
change himself into any element or only elements found here on earth?

Answer, (exibiting my geek side) :

Originally,.... he was limited to only the elements naturally found in the human body.

Currently,... Any element.

*comment* They have weakened him in two areas,...
1. He now needs air to breathe,... in space he was using part of his bodymass to make oxygen for him to breathe.

2. He seems to have limits on his body mass,.. I remember old comics where he changed form into things two, three times his apparent mass - that no longer happens.

Is kryptonite an element an if so can Metamorpho The Element Man
change himself into it and if so could he not kick Superman ass

{thats a lot of an if soos}

??
If he knew the makeup, Kryptonite would be no issue.

Like the Nuclear man,... Rex could put a hurting on Superman if he got first licks.

Thanks, I've got some homework to do.

Another question: Tim still has a teenage body right? Wasn't sure if he looked as grown up as Dick. A tiny teenage Red Robin might look funny.

Tim's either 17 or 18. And he's still rather slim. Doesn't quite fill out the batsuit yet. ;)

Battle for the Cowl is pretty awesome!

Does anybody have pictures of Aquaman's belt buckle emblem
and
a pic of a Martian Manhunter emblem

I didnt know where else to ask

What does Batman use to propel his grappling hook? (As in, how does he give it the boost & momentum to reach its target?)
Is there a map of the DCU that would tell me where its imaginary cities are in respect to real ones?

Batman uses compressed air cartridges (sp?) to propell his grappling gun.

Here's a stupid question...sort of. What happens to the GL series when Blackest night comes out. Will it coincide with it, or will it split off into a different storyline? I just subscribed to 12 issues of GL, and now I'm wondering exactly what I'll be getting since the Blackest Night is about to start up.

Ok my stupid question is could someone tell me the alias, origin, first appearance and basically everything you can of 'Black Mask' and possible some stories he was in.

Is Busiek's Trinity any good? The trade just came out and I'm thinking of giving it a test drive.

The story itself is fine. The characterizations are kinda shallow, but interesting at various points.

The pacing is slow. Criminally slow. Many, many issues where people do nothing but talk, and not even plot-advancing talk; just talk.

Though I gotta say it will probably read better in trade format than in individual issues.

Hmm.. im thinking of getting tat trade too... but i heard the Trinity doesnt appear together alot... i like the art tho...

So my question is should i get Justice Society's Thy Kingdom Come (3 vols i believe...?) It seems to be getting alot of promotion at my bookstore

If you liked Kingdom Come and want to see it revisited within the main DC universe, by all means, go for it. Most of the people on the Hype seemed to find it extremely boring and way too long. I didn't bother reading it at all because I didn't care to see KC ideas rehashed in JSA.

It set up a great epic story, but what actually happened was pretty un-epic and underwhelming.

So.... does anybody know? Will GL be put on hold?

I haven't heard anything. But looking at DC's release dates, it looks like the GL books will keep coming our during Blackest Night.
