The Official DC Stupid Question Thread....

I gots me a question. I've been going through getting some old (awesome) Batgirl trades with Puckett, Peterson, and Scott. and I realized that her actual smack down with Shiva is not documented in the Batgirl trades. anybody know where I could get that in a trade? Birds of Prey, maybe?

Superman is a shining beacon of morality. This is a man who would never do something stupid like cheat on his wife, become "the other man" in someone else's longterm relationship, or run out on his pregnant girlfriend to become a deadbeat dad.

:cmad:

:wow:

Context. Give. Now.

I just described Superman Returns. Lois was engaged to Richard White, and Superman intentionally shoved himself back into Lois' life and wanted to get her back. Superman left Earth for about 5 years, and came back to find Lois raising his 5 year old son.

How did I not pick up on that?

i took a coat hanger and jammed it up my nose and scrambled the part of my brain that had the memories of that movie stored...

Nothing of consequence. Or quality.

Well, as elements are defined by how many protons are in an atom, scientists on Earth have been adding protons to atoms in labs and seeing what comes out. The higher the amount of protons are added, the more unstable an atom becomes. So therefore, all planets around the universe would run on the same amount of useable elements, give or take.

though some mathematical models indicate what is called 'an island of stability' for some group of off chart elements. Of course, youd expect to find spectrum of such elements in the dusts and gases released by Super novae, particularly if they were long lived. So far nothing to shout about to the folks back home.

Kryptonite (kryptonium) has semi officially been given the 126 position.

And as for Krypton, the noble gas, noble gases don't change shape of form. They're already completely stable and don't ask for more neutrons or electrons.

Say What????????????????????/ Noble gases are chemically inert, possessing very complete electron orbitals*. They areas vulnerable/prone to particle bombardment of their nuclei as any other atom is. If a particle with oodles of electron volts hurtles smack into a Krypon nuclei, a game of quantum snooker is going to take place and the former components of that atom are going to bounce around like billard balls on green felt.

*yes, 'orbitals' actually is a noun.

I thought that was in one of the trades. A Knight Alone or Death Wish or something. I can check my trades when I get home to see.

One of many reasons why I loathe that movie.

I'm still astounded by the number of people who have no problem with the way the characters were portrayed in that movie, and try to defend it. I can't believe that I used to drop by the Superman Returns forum every so often.

Okay. I haven't been by a comic shop in a while. How did Batman "die"?

Darksied hit him with the omega beams and now he's gotta live countless lives over and over again each time dying horribly. Or he's in the past, doing cave paintings and getting busy with cave women.

I thought he was supposed to be in Earth's past. Then I heard he wasn't there either. :( It's Morrison. In all likelihood he's doing all three.

Next summer, Morrison will reveal that the 52 Earths don't really exist, they're all just different planes of being existing simultaneously in Dan DiDio's mind!

It's Morrison dude, it would be different planes of being existing simultaneously in a wart, on Dan Didio's left but cheek.

Which earth is the one where Countdown was worth reading? If it's Didio's mind, that universe has to be in there somewhere.

The one where George Bush repealed the constitution and got a third term with 95% of the vote, Dragon Ball the movie got a best picture Oscar, and 2 Girls One Cup airs nightly on Fox at 7:00P.M.Eastern/6:00Central. Right after reruns of the greatest show ever produced:The Secret Diaries of Desmond Pfieffer

Sounds trippy. Do I need to wear 3D glasses when I pay that earth a visit?
