The OFFICIAL Deleted Scenes Links Thread

I liked the phsycic voices. It would have been pretty cool if it was finished, touched up, and had the music in it. Phoenix seemed quite poetic and I think it was well written. Whe She says "I am power" I reminded me of the comics where she says she's fire incarnate.

It's not a big deal they didn't leave it in. It's a nice deleted scene.

Phoenix sounded too sedated in that scene. She should have delivered those lines with more power, more rage.

Yeah, I could see the Phoenix challenging Palpatine and Yoda.

PALPATINE: Join me, girl. And together... we will rule the galaxy!

YODA: Control your powers, you must. Dangerous, you have become. Loved ones, you have killed.

PHOENIX: Get out of my head!

YODA: Jean, listen you must. Help you, I can.

PALPATINE: Give in to the dark side. Join the Sith! Together, we will bring this world to its knees!

PHOENIX: You wanna control me?

YODA: No, Jean. Look-

POOF! Palpatine and Yoda demolecurize and disappear in the wind.

Of course, if Ratner were directing the scene, Yoda's death would appear off-screen and then not be mentioned for the rest of the movie. :ghost:

Rrrgh... I must learn to let go of my anger... it will be my undoing!

lol...

haha. If only Padme didn't exist...I don't care if Jean disinergrated her. lol... Anakin and Madalyne would make darth babies. hehe. lol. er...

I had no problem with Padme... yeah, she was kind of a boring character, but that falls to George Lucas. Sorry dude, special effects alone do not a movie make.

Oh, wait. Did I say George Lucas? Maybe we should send that memo to Brett Ratner and Fox, too.

The X-Men attack the Jedi Temple:

PROFESSOR: Wipe them out. All of them.

WOLVERINE: It will be done my lord.

Several Jedi charge at the X-Men, who take them down quickly. Wolverine slices Mace's hand off.

Storm, meanwhile, has come up against Padme.

STORM: Strange. Both of our roles are utterly pointless, and serve no purpose in the films, other than to eye-candy.

PADME: True. But your character is worse. I mean, "What happens to a toad when it is struck my lightning?" What kind of line is that?

STORM: Well I'm least I'm not married to a schoolboy. He's practically still in his diapers.

PADME: At least I've got someone. Have you had a relationship with anyone? The most attention you've had is with a blue-skinned freak.

STORM: You take that back!

PADME: Or what?

Storm's zaps her with lightning. Padme falls down, dead.

Well I didn't have a problem with but I just didn't like how she was written. Lucas just doesnt get women.. lol :p And I agree, too many special effects, let alone, why the hell did he come up with Jar jar. man... wasteful.

You know, I always pictured "Lady" Skywalker as a capable woman who has her share of dark secrets...Padme was just too innocent and all she did was let work come first and..... man... anyway... I always pictured Lady Skywalker as a woman...of course lol... the kind of woman you love to hate... she's not perfect, ahem ahem... and she could be the opposite of Anakin...where she thinks about what she has done and she knows she made a mistake and learns from them, it is only then, she realizes when she changes her ways, it will cost her... plus she would have done more than just shooting with a blaster. She could have been like Mara Jade...she's hot.

I've been re-watching the voices clip. I still can't understand everything they say. What does Jean say right after Pro.X says "Bring back Jean or suffer the consequences"? I can only here the last part where she says.

(Just to finish off our Star Wars discussion before getting back on track.) It's such a shame we'll never get to see Mara Jade on the big screen, because she was one of the most interesting characters in the entire EU... in fact, the entire Thrawn Trilogy would have been incredible to see.

I've also figured out why exactly everybody hated Episode 1. Lucas included Jar Jar to try and appeal to little kids. He included all of the procedural senate talk to give political motivations to the entire saga in order to appeal to older fans. He failed miserably at both, and if it weren't for the Podrace and the lightsaber duel(s) at the end, Ep1 would be completely unwatchable. At least, IMO.

Aaaanyways.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing the "Behind the Scenes" footage, that always interests me. Just to see snippets of scenes that weren't even included in the Deleted Scenes.

Here's my attempt at the psychic voices scene, it has the movie scenes along with the mind confrontation between Xavier and Jean; and of course, the 'I AM PHOENIX' line!

not bad..the "i am phoenix" line really works when they do that close up on her face...its awesome

Ooh. that was good. I didn't like how Famke delivered the phoenix line. It was quiet and soft. It should have been forceful and dramatic. But I like that she does declare herself as the Phoenix, that was nice.
