What's the point of Jean sensing a scared girl?

Aside of character development, it also shows the time of day changing from day to night. They should have kept it so that it did not go straight to dark out at Alcatraz.

If they actually put these alternate/deleted scenes into the movie (most of them atleast) I might actually want to buy the movie. Except the school alternate ending is a bit too smiley (which it is in the movie also). It reminds me of the end of the Harry Potter movies where no matter how much Sh** went down everyone is just like see you next year. The Rogue scene was so much better, it was sort of like the end of Spidey Two. They reconsiled but their future is still vague.

That's one of the hidden easter eggs, but you don't see the X-Men per se, it's only the Jet landing in Washington.

well just to give you guys a heads up, im almost done re-editing the movie and i didnt realize it would be so damn hard. I changed my mind on certain scenes (decided to leave rogue taken the cure and leave out the part where kitty and bobby kiss), and it is a ***** to match the music correctly in the finale since i had to put so many scenes in (extended desrtuction, the wave, ect.) Also I want to see if I can get a good phoenix effect in.

Cool beans. I must admit, I have very mixed feelings about the deleted scenes. For a start, Trask's "Then you know what needs to be done" is still missing.
Jimmy's lab scene was far too short, and would have added to the overall hurried effect of the film if left in the final cut. The same can be said of both Pyro telling Mags about the cure scenes. Although I preffered the overall finish of the bearded version better. Personally, I quite liked the Jean/little girl scene, as it was a demonstration of the inner battle Jean was experiencing against Phoenix. That should have definately been left in.
I much preffered the effect of the original Jean showing her power at the encampment, I found the version used in the film to be a little "hammy". I also wish that the Bobby/Kitty kiss had been left in. It certainly would have stopped Rogue from looking like a spoilt little girl throwing a hissy fit.
And as for the extended Phoenix scene. It is clear why that was cut. My guess is that would have been the moment when she would have manifested the firebird had it made the film.

The alternate version of the X Men boarding the jet is much better than what we got in the movie. It felt more natural than the out of character speech from Wolverine, and it was cool to see Bobby and Kitty stepping up to their duties. But why no line from Colossus?

I'm still confused as to where the scene of Jimmy in the lab would go though.

The kiss between Bobby and Kitty was actually well done. It didn't make them "the bad guys", and as britrogue said, it adds more weight to Rogue's decision to go and take the cure.
