Small Town Wonder

An original small-town girl,Erica Durance grew up on a turkey farm in the remote town of Three Hills, Alberta. She is the youngest of three children and was born to a truck driver, Joel, and a librarian, Gail. Not the typical bio for a now urbanized first-rate star.

The sky was the limit for Erica Durance, and she defied any limitations of rural life. From early on, Erica Durance knew that she wanted to perform. It was her singing, though, that inspired her to act: on a personal fansite, it is reported that she had an outstanding teacher who propelled her into drama and who truly inspired her.

We’re now pretty inspired, too, when we consider Erica Durance’s accomplishments. The voluptuous and classy Erica Durance has starred in many roles, from TV sitcoms to movies. She is best known for her most recent role as Lois Lane on Smallville, a made-for-TV picture which tells the story of a teenage, pre-superman Clark Kent.

Due to her characters overwhelming popularity in season 4, Erica was made a series regular in season 5. Her ability to play perfectly the role of Lois Lane is the reason for her fame. When asked in a New York Post interview her opinion of Lois Lane, Erica Durance’s response was enthusiastic: “Of all the different female leads in comics, Lois Lane was my favourite because she was so involved….She was always so involved in everything going on—she’s a go-getter, she was really in there, quite tough and kind of a hero in her own right.” Well, if a hero is what is required for Lois’ role, Erica Durance surely fits the part.

In addition to Smallville, fans will recognize Erica Durance from suspense movies such as The Untold (2002) and House of the Dead (2003). She was also featured in the made-for-TV movie, Devil Winds (2003), Andromeda, Tru Calling, and Stargate SG-1. But any seasoned fan will have to add to his or her collection The Making of the Women of Sci-fi DVD, which features a never before seen interview with the Sci-Fi star.

Early in 2005, Erica Durance tied the knot with sweetheart David Palffy. The couple currently live in Vancouver and have just purchased a house. The left-handed Erica Durance originally chose to relocate to Vancouver in order to seize its opportunities and to find an alternative to the densely populated L.A.

Erica Durance leaves much to our imagination, as evidenced in this Women of Sci-Fi Calendar, where she wears an angelic white halter top and reveals an elegantly nude neckline.

Even thought Erica has joined The cast as a regular, Lois has only been sgin on to appear in 13 episodes .

So far she's appeared in

(1) "Arrival"

(2) "Aqua"

(3) "Exposed"

(4) "Solitude"

(5) "Fanatic"

(6) "Lockdown"

(7) "Reckoning"

(8) "Tomb"

She has 5 more left - So It look's like she'll be in all the other episode of season 5 (all the way to The Season 5 Finale)

I miss her too . I can't wait to see her return .
