I mean he's not a terrible actor, just not very good one. He's a goofball, people make out to be a great actor. Was his acting in transformers anything more then average, same with disturbia.

No one does. There isn't a single person in the whole world everyone would agree on. People would complain no matter who was cast. If chatwin gives a decent portrayal personality wise, it shouldn't matter. If he does a horrible job then thats the producers fault for casting him, not chatwins.

the invisble i had no trust in but when i saw it it was better then i expected

edit: War of the worlds made 500 Mil+ Worldwide so i dont think its not a bad movie for chatwin

don't mean to sound like an ass, but according to wiki it was 30 million. not saying DB will have a similar outcome. 24 million is just an indication of how much pull Justin has at the box office as a lead in a suspense thriller with no other big stars in the supporting cast. i'm sure DB will get at least $100 mil just from the fans alone.

Nobody looks like Gokû, yes another reason they should not have made a live action film. There's a reason Godzilla (1998) failed and that's because it insulted Japan.

All the changes made so far are not looking to good. Dragonball has always had one look, the Manga/Anime. I'm afraid of how this is going to turn out.

i liked godzilla...it just wasn't godzilla, that's all.

this movie'll be hated either because it sucks, or is far from the original source material. my only hope is that it would have good fight scenes at least; with ki blasts, yelling, and crazy fast punches and kicks.

The Terrible Two!

They do present a valid point of the spectrum. At least they're fans of the original product. Not everyone wants a live-action version of a favored franchise.

Personally, I would never want to see a [another] live-action Mario or live-action Sonic [Would it even be possible?]. Hell, I wouldn't ever want to see a live-action Metal Gear, unless Kojima himself had a heavy part in it.

A live-action Naruto, in my eyes, would never work. Dragonball is also not one of them [One Piece neither. Bleach I can see working though]. However, I always like to see a fresh new take on my favorite characters, live-action or not, regardless the outcome or the changes. This is why I'm more for this movie, than against it. I think of it as the "Ultimate Universe of Dragonball"

With things like Resident Evil however, they butchered the franchise, as they didn't follow the story of the game nor any of the characters from the game. All three of those movies were essentially fan-fiction trash.

I agree I am gettin an ultimate feel from this movie as well.. Its not a bad thing cuz I like the ultimate universe of marvel... its another take on my favorite charcters

when it comes to regular posters on these boards, i'm in the minority because i don't like Chatwin as Goku. however, if you look throughout the internet (not just this site and the DB blogs), most people either don't like Chatwin or don't care for him as Goku. Kotaku, IGN, Gametrailers, Joblo...the majority of fans that regularly post on those sites have made mostly negative posts about Chatwin as Goku. there are a good number of fans that actually like him for Goku, but the majority of the net (not just SHH or DB blogs) aren't thrilled for Chatwin as Goku.
