i know this has already been debated and gone nowhere, but...i still think goku looks asian. lol.

but w/e. i think vegeta should be asian if goku isn't. i mean...he's REALLY short! lol.

I agree, it seems like that would've been the logical thing to do, I said the same thing a while back on here, and someone brought up a valid point stating that Hollywood may believe that the movie wont do is good by casting an asian in the lead.

As for Vegeta, his size changes in DBZ, when he was first introduced, he appeared shorter than Goku, and later on down the line, when they learned the fusion technique, one of the requirements was that both people had to be the same size, so Vegeta ended up being Goku's height

No, Vegeta was never Goku's height, Goku was always taller, that's the dumb part of them using the fusion technique & that's exactly why it didn't happened in the manga, it happened in a non-canon DBZ movie.

Anyway, I don't want to see anyone fusing using the Fusion Technique that didn't use it in the manga or that isn't the same height. It would be cool to see a few fantasy Potara fusions in the movies.

I for one am glad that people are not making my statement into a race thing. You guys are probably the nicest people on the board lol. I've been gone for a moment so i caught up on everything that was said.

Im not completely bummed with this movie because no matter what, casting isn't going to keep me from seeing it. I have waited too damn long to not know what it could be like. Plus we all have the internet if it turns south LOL. With our swift agile fingers of blasphemous hatred, we shall spew are Malevolent retorts and criticize the movie until its as rare as the first one. Anyway...

I always thought that jet li would be the best vegeta. He is short, and always has a f'ed up hairline in his movies. Just look at his vegeta hairline in Fist of Legend. (not to mention that he has a fluid martial arts background, which im not so sure of in the casting of this movie. Other than Chau Yun Fat).

Either way, Lets all pray that this movie can fulfill us.

Not necessarily so. In the manga/anime, Piccolo's persona remained dominant after the two of them fused and there were no physical changes. The Gotenks and Vegeto fusions created completely new personalities and supposedly shared some physical similarities to their original parts.

I really hope we get Kami in this movie anyway as to our knowledge as of now there is no Kami. If there's no Kami, then strike 1 point off of this movie being good because Kami is essential to the DB story.

Yes but that doesn't avoid the fact that 2 entities join to become one, the concept still remains the same.
