Also, History of Trunks and the Bardock were not movies, but rather TV specials.

So Wrath of the Dragon was the last one made in Japan and the US?

there's no reason for Goku to be in school. it's a sign that the creators don't fully understand the world of DBZ.

I know you mean well but you mean the world of Dragonball as that's the franchises actual all-encompassing name. Either that or you could refer to it as the Dragon World as Toriyama does.

Well hey, the entire point of the character is that he's a hick from the mountains who is not the most intelligent guy in the world but still a good man. Placing him in a high school setting does not really bode well for the rest of his portrayal.

That being said and done with... yeah, these high school characters are obviously *extremely* minor. The fact that their filming is completely finished after only a few days goes to show that. The logical and smart people have been trying to point that out for a while. What we've heard on the actual plot of the movie describes things and events SO great and SO far beyond the insignificant school portion... yet people are purposely blinding themselves to those brilliant aspects, and only focusing on the tiny details that they don't like.

Yeah, Goku from the manga/anime has (probably) never gone to school a day in his life. But apparently, "movie Goku" does. I ask.. "So what?!" Is that alone going to make this a horrible movie? The answer, straight up, is a resounding "NO." It will be a bit *different* from DragonBall the manga/anime, is all. Probably the only purpose the high school scenes will serve is to introduce a character or two, and demonstrate Goku's strangeness. After that, Lord Piccolo is introduced and the movie starts. So quit throwing a fit over the school, people. It's stupid, unfounded, immature, and annoying."

He obviously took a fair amount of time to illustrate his opinion in an intelligent manner, I think you should read it.

yes...because Goku going to high school is the ONLY thing that people complain about and because all of us OBVIOUSLY want things changed from the anime.

to the pro-high schoolers i have to ask...what ADVANTAGE does putting Goku in a high school give the story? imo, it's a DISADVANTAGE because it makes him more typical and less unique. you lose the fish out of water aspect that Goku had.
