The Official Goku/Justin Chatwin Thread

If you want to make a franchise out of Dragonball Z, everything has to be drafted up and carefully planned very early. Each film would need a smooth transition, including the same actors and what not, if it were to work beyond 3 films. Either way, Freiza (if we're so damn lucky) might be the best we get. Which is fine, because that means we'd see a Super Saiyan.

Actually, I think Freeza would be an excellent place to end the series, with Goku turning Super Saiyan and becoming the undisputed champion of the universe, only to be taken out by an exploding planet.

That ending would be too depressing for the mainstream. He'd have to survive.

That would've been a horrible way to end the series because of all the loose ends that wouldn't have been tied up. What happened to Vegeta on Earth? Did he become ruler or did he die? Where did the Namekians go? I see no good in ending the series after the Freeza saga.

They could end it showing wat happend to everybody like LOTR...but then again your right it would be a lame ending

They should end it the way Season 3 ended, with Gohan and everybody returning to their normal lives. And you know at the end when Gohan looks out the window and Piccolo is standing there saying "I'll always be there for you and protect you Gohan" (something like that)...I think it'd be cool if Goku was walking towards the house at the end. What an emotional ending that would be.

Guys, don't get your hopes up that the series will follow the anime that closely.

We have no idea what the second movie will be about. It could be mostly about Piccolo and Vegeta, or something like that instead of the training preparations to fight the saiyans.

We have no idea that we'll even get a second movie. I don't have my hopes up for anything, but I am thinking about how certain things could translate easily or poorly.

Sorry dude, but that ending is weak. I want it to end at the Cell Games with Goku dying for good & with Gohan becoming the protector of the Earth after defeating Cell.

I said that in the context of assuming the franchise only goes up to Frieza. You don't think I want to see Cell?

i suppose i wouldn't have any hard feeling if they ended it with frieza. It would kind of be a repetitive movie with different villians. First they fight piccolo, then they fight frieza, then they fight cell, etc. Not that I would mind cause i'm absolutely in love with everything dragonball. I'm thinking of asking dragonball to marry me.

If it only goes up to the Freeza saga, there will need to be a lot of changes. I'd really prefer that it ends at Cell so that Gohan can become the official new protector of the Earth.

YES me too... the cell saga is wat made me love gohan so much.... cuz he finally stepped out of his fathers shadow and out did his father !! He was kind of a pansy in the buu saga compared to the cell saga... I hated it.... and I realy don't kno wat it would look like seeining a real life SSJ3??? Might look too awkward from the anime

Of course. What DBZ fan wouldn't want that? :woot:

Alright, so this is on the terms that we end at Cell. Quite simple to put. Watch episode 176, Save The World. Favorite episode where Gohan kills Cell. The last scene is Gohan laughing and smiling that all is well, with Goku faded in the background looking down on his son, and how proud he is. End it just like that with Goku narrating over about how proud he is how much he loves his son. I see that as a very Goku like thing and fitting end for alot of the general public.

the moment gohan stepped out of the time chamber was the huge turning point where he became my fav character

Gohan's like the harry potter of DBZ.

Lol............ that wasn't a compliment or an insult. Up to you.

I don't get it, outside of age.
Think.

They're both kids who need to save the world... their power grows every movie (or episode)... eventually harry wins (I think I don't read those books) and Gohan wins in the end (excluding Majin Buu which I don't consider a part of the show).

They both have a recurring enemy. Gohan has Chi-Chi and Harry has moldynipples or whatever they called him.

I think I'm still drunk, but I do have a point!

There is one difference you've ignored: Harry Potter is a fruitcake.
