LOTR has many variations from the source to the movie, that is my point, it ended good, harry Poter and Eragon too, it ended bad or meh, Spiderman from the comics, It ended good until the third movie that was not as good as the first 2, X men from the comics with the same result as Spiderman, , LOTR was great, and its true that it depends of the artist, but more on the history, but we can find things to complain from every movie before we see it.


King kong was good, but it was not LOTR success, the critics didnt like it as much and the box office was not as good, it was an ok movie, my faith is not for the director, is for the Franchise, even if is not a exact copy of it, having dinasours in a futuristic world or people with animals head will not be apealing to new viewers, i have faith in the characters, not the actors, and at least will be as Kung fu hustle kind of fights and humour, i hope the producer give some of that, then is ok for me.


Well your prediction was true with the forbiden kingdoom, but i hope you are wrong this time, not because the director, James wong was the one of the main reasons why X files is a cult nowdays, with a movie comming after years, and the Final Destinations were fun, at least number 1, not a oscar winner, but an ok movie, with that i repeat my faith is in the DB characters and fights, but i could agree with you after the trailer is show, i want to see Goku vs Piccolo, with blast and ki blast and kick butt fights, so i keep my hopes up.

Hope you and your girlfriend enjoy it the movie, dont you want that?

Well regardless the school theme, is the history of a guy that has talent in fights and martial arts and like to protect the weakers, until he meet the best fighter in Earth, learn from him how to use ki or chi and learn moves to confront a piss off alien that want revenge from earth after being put in prison 1000 years, in a final confrontation that will be the mayor point from the movie.

now is a history that regardlees if is Dragonball or not, i have interest to see it, but that is just me.

so far, we have seen practically nothing. just a few official pics, and the quality of those seem pretty good to me

there is one fact. the quality of the movie will be better than that of those leaked pictures, that is simply an undeniable fact
so if you like those leaked pictures, then you will obviously like how the final product will look like, in terms of quality, nothing else(not story, acting, etc).
however, since you don´t know how much it will improve, even if you don´t like those leaked pictures, you might end up liking the improved final product. IF you are a little open minded, you would at least be open to the possibility that you might end up liking it, unlike some people here
that´s not the famous double standard, its logic

There is a difference between not liking two photos from a movie that will be released a little under a year away, and someone who already has guaranteed a movie will suck regardless of what will be shown in the future.

i liked final destination 1, haven´t seen the one yet, liked the x-files as well. he might not be the best choice, but im sure a lot of people thought the same of peter jackson before lord of the rings. he wasn´t exactly a highly prestigious director before that movie, and how prestigious is he now? im hoping for the same with james wong and dragonball

Lord of the rings was very easy to translate compared to Dragon ball. Dragon Ball has a visual background whereas LOTR had a book which it was anyones guess how they ended up being on screen.

I agree and thank you for your more mature and elevated mind on these forums. I am extreme, but I never just trash a grocery without looking at the expiration date.

Peter Jackson had a few good efforts before Lord of the Rings, at least enough of them to make comparing him to Wong look like a stretch. Though I personally haven't seen it, Heavenly Creatures, made in 1994, is supposedly very good. Frighteners, a movie I have seen, was a basically fun flick and showed Jackson had a good sense of his craft. Wong's record is far below what Jackson's was before Lord of the Rings.

i agree with you there. even though i say it WILL be amazing, deep inside i still have my doubts, i just say those comments when i hear comments like "this movie will suck"
anyway, optimism is always welcome anywhere about anything, not just here. pessimism is not, thats just the way it works

honestly, i think we should all focus on our OWN opinions instead of others'. no one's opinion matters more than your own, so you shouldn't be worrying about what other people think. if you don't like their opinion, then it's fine to argue with them....so long as you keep in mind that this is a forum for EVERYONE, not just those who are excited about the film.

I will say The first Final destination was alot better then the frighteners, even got a few good reviews. The one was a very mediocre film, maybe worse. Final destination 3 doesn't count because what else can you do with that? He definitely has potential to make dragonball a solid film, which is all i want.
