I can understand that. But from the perspective of an 18 year old, it's something any 18 year would want. At least, if you're trying to get the girl.

I think Goku tries to tame his hair during the first half of the movie but after he starts realizing his fighting strengths he lets his be natural.

This show's host Shingo Katori played Son Goku on Saiyuki (Japanese Film), so Justin suggests they will play Goku on halves in the next movie.

I love how Justin says Goku doesn't know who he is if he's not fighting. All of a sudden the whole "wanting to fit in" angle comes more into focus.

great find...nothing very revealing though. Justin made a good point about how Goku doesn't know who he is if he's not fighting, but i still don't think they needed to put him in high school in order to get the point across.

one of the things i was afraid about Chatwin playing Goku was his appearance as a martial artist and fighter. i remember watching a War of the Worlds scene where Chatwin's character gets mad at the aliens and decides to take it upon himself to fight them without his family. instead of feeling his anger and intensity i just felt like punching him in the face. i dunno what it is...i'm sure he's a nice guy to hang with, but his angry face just makes him look like a little punk..

...he doesn't look like a fighter. he looks like an annoying weasel. i know it's not his fault, because that's just genetics...but i can't get behind someone that looks like a brat when they fight. whenever Goku gets angry or mad you should be able to feel his pain and want to see him kick some @$$, but with Chatwin it's the opposite for me. i want to see him get his @$$ handed to him.....and that was even before he got the role.


this is just ONE of the many reasons why i don't think Chatwin should have been Goku.

watched the 1 minute trailer again. when piccolo punches goku in air. i can not belive how big hes pants are. they really dont fit the GI suit.i really dont understand what they were thinking.

yeah those pants don't help Goku's look...plus, in that particular shot Goku looks about the same size as Piccolo even though Piccolo normally dwarfs Goku in the anime/manga.

Yeah, I dislike the pants as well. What the hell were they thinking? They should have done his pants the same style as piccolos. That would look way more bad ass.

I thought Sayians hair stays the same since birth there is even a reference in the book so where do Goku gain these bangs from?

At the very least, it dismisses all that talk about Goku not being a confident fighter. I liked it.
