I suppose. What I was trying to say was that do people like SM3 more because they liked the first two?

In the sense that I love DOFP because I love X1/X2/FC? or I love IM3 because I loved IM1? Yes and No. I like it because I think it is a genuinely good (but flawed) movie, that a had a lot of choices the director did not agree with, but did the best he could with what he had. It's a miracle and a testament to Raimi's film-making capabilities that the film wasn't a complete and total train wreck, given the stress and useage of a character he didn't care for in the slightest bit, until someone wrote a solid treatment of him. But Raimi's love of the Spider-Man world, and how much care he brought to him for the first three films is fantastic and commendable.

I've always loved the exchange between Spider-Man and Aunt May after he rescues her:

"We sure showed him!"

"What do you mean 'we'?!"

"... Oh." *swings away*

Absolutely adorable and charming. The chemistry between Tobey Maguire and Rosemary Harris was perfection, even in Spider-Man 3.

After reading that hilarious and long rant from that Game of Thrones fan (which has been making its rounds around the internet, of course), I can't get the term, "Swag Level" out of my head.

Doctor Octopus' "Swag Level" in Spider-Man 2 was through the roof. So much, in fact, that every Spider-Man villain we've seen since has paled by comparison. It's not even a contest. Alfred Molina was awesome as Doc Ock; easily one of the best comic book movie villains to date.
