Elfman's Spider-Man music doesn't hold a candle to his early work... but I've really grown to love it more and more over time.

I still miss that little opening motif over the Columbia logo. :csad:
I have always loved the Elfman Spider-Man theme. It's the best 'pure' one of the Spidey films so far, for my money. I'm less keen on Elfman's other material, but when that theme plays, the score is great.

Main Title, Costume Montage, Revenge, City Montage, Farewell, End Credits, He's Back, MJ's New Life/Spidus Interruptus and At Long Last Love. The wonder, mystery, energy and responsibility all compiled.

Yep. Absolutely love Elfman's Spider-Man scores. Young's SM3 also. If Scatterax is referring to the fact that SM2 credited Elfman as the sole composer, it's because he wrote the Bulk of the music, then John Debney, Chris Young, and Deb. Lurie came in for re-writes to the score.

I am one of the few who doesn't think the final Goblin fight is all that. It's good but it's not one of my top 5 favorite Spidey fight scenes. It's basically Spidey being used as a punching fight for most of it. I prefer fights with balance. Where both opponents get to show off their battle prowess throughout the whole thing.

One of the best scenes in the franchise.

I agree, I have grown to like it more over time, but of all the fights in the 1st movie the Times Square one remains the best for me. I would have liked a bit more actual fighting in the final battle.

That whole speech, along with great acting from Maguire/Robertson and Elfman's score make it one of the best scenes.

I honestly think that scene is one of Maguire's best in the series.

I guess I'm one of the few who Thinks the train fight is overrated.

Absolutely. The Raimi movies never lost sight of the importance of Uncle Ben's influence in Peter's life.

I quite liked the burning building fight a bit more.

The Goblin reveal during that fight scared the **** out of me the first time I saw it LOL

The action and special effects in Spider Man 3 are so timeless... like, it could be released today and still impress audiences.

I'd actually even say the "Spider-Man no more" scene was the best of the entire franchise.

Would have been nice if uncle ben, not MJ, convinced him to become spider-man again, but still really great.

love the score too.

I hate that part....my favorite part is when he starts to make the suit, dat score :hubba

It's creepy how well he can impersonate a woman's voice lol.

Seconded. It's lifted straight from the comic books. Raimi nailed it.

Though it wasn't actually MJ that convinced him. It was Aunt May's inspirational talk that did it.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 have so many "favourite scenes" for me that I can't possibly pick one. Especially the first film.

I was not a huge fan of Christopher Young's Spidey 3 score. There were definitely some good moments, but it just felt like a huge step down from the previous two, just like the movie. So I guess it kinda fit in that sense, but yeah.

Birth of Sandman was awesome though.

I agree! I absolutely hated the black suit theme.

Me too, it just felt so out of place and jarringly incongruous with the previously esatablished music of the series.

I love Young's score the most of all SM film scores.

Young's Spider-Man 3 is easily my least favorite of all the Spidey scores. Just wasn't impressed and found it to be a step down from Elfman's.

Cause it was, and pretty noticeably.

Sorry Necessary Evil. :oldrazz:

I like Young's score alot, but no one can beat a Danny Elfman score....unless you're John Williams or something lol.
