Anne Hathaway auditioned for Spider-Man 4. Raimi confirmed that. I'm pretty positive it was for Black Cat.

I didn’t get to see Batman yet, because I’ve been working nonstop on Oz, but I hear she’s great in it. I’m not surprised, because I loved what she was doing with the auditions for Spider-Man 4.

I was always confused by the Vultress rumour, especially that it was ever pinned to Raimi. Even if that idea was floated about during production at some point, he walked out because the script was crappy.

spiderman 2 was the only film in the raimi trilogy where i wasn't even annoyed by tobey's peter. at times in the first film i liked him and felt uncomfortable by him because he felt awkward not as a human being but just awkward like the kind of guy you want to stay away from and there are times in the first film where you sympathize with him but at the same time tobey's performance just made the character feel out of place.

i really hated some of the dialogue in the first film since that is the only thing that felt more dated is the dialogue and what mj said to peter really ruined the ending for me because the ending was so emotional and yet the sappy lines mj said ruined it.

I loved Toby as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, but I thought he was a little too buff in the first film. I personally prefer skinny Spidey.
