Same here, I like the trilogy as a whole. I enjoy them much more than the ASM films.

Who wants a 15th anniversary Blu-Ray of Spider-Man 1 in 2017? Include a new documentary and deleted scenes. Would give the new reboot coming that year a good promotion boost too. Too good of a opportunity to pass up.

Well, it might not have been a trilogy with Topher in the lead. When I think about him trying to pull off the necessary emotion for the Uncle Ben death scene, I can't help but burst out laughing. Spidey probably would have suffered the same fate as Daredevil did back in '03.

He is awesome. Off topic to this thread but I saw the new Evil Dead trailer and can't wait to check it out.
In relation to Spider-Man, I have seen quite a few suggest that had the Raimi movies continued, Campbell would have made an excellent Beck/Mysterio. I agree with that opinion.

Sigh ... I love Sam Raimi. He does not deserve the hate that he gets for Spider-Man 3, after all he's done as a filmmaker in general. How many filmmakers has this man influenced because of The Evil Dead? Or his Spider-Man movies? Come on.
I would be outrageously happy if Marvel Studios hired him for some project (whether it's directing, writing, or just part of a creative team). He has passion for this stuff, and it would be great if he worked on something. It doesn't even have to be Spider-Man.
Kevin Feige himself has said that Raimi's Spider-Man movies set the bar for Spidey, and that's what they're trying to achieve with MCU Spidey.
It just plain sucks that Raimi doesn't receive much credit for his movies anymore ... Just because a lot of people weren't happy with Spider-Man 3 (ONE movie). Spider-Man 3 isn't even among the worst comic book movies; hell, I think it's better than some of the MCU movies.

Great post.
As someone who obsesses over their work performance, I too get upset when things go wrong. In that regard, I feel for Sam. It sucks that he didn't get to finish the series on a high note nor have the chance to redeem himself. Sam accepted what was being told to him--that he wasn't doing right by the fans and forced or not, made changes to the film and ultimately regretted those decisions. He made two very good Spider-Man movies, one that is still considered the best CBM of all time...one disappointment doesn't change what he did accomplish.
I agree though, I'd love to see Sam back in the game. Feige did say he loved SM2 and is using that film as the barometer for the level of quality that they're shooting for with the new Spider-Man movie. Even if they brought back Sam as a consultant...that'd be stellar.
Just out of plain curiosity and not looking to debate, what films in the MCU are not as good as SM3?
Raimi is such a humble and likeable man and he always remains professional. I loved his first two Spiderman films when they came out (I still like them but not as much as I used to) and at the time I thought they were the best superhero films. He deserves credit for his contribution to superhero genre and it is a pity that he did not get to go out on a high note. I didn't like SM3 but I still wanted Raimi to make more movies and I wanted to see more of his universe. Hopefully if he wants to have another go at making superhero films he gets the chance.

Nonsense. Sam did himself proud with his Spider-Man trilogy. He needs to hold his head up high and acknowledge the achievement.
Spider-Man 3 may not be perfect, but it has an awful lot going for it and I'd still gladly watch it as opposed to what came after.

AoS has some great episodes every once in a while, but the majority of them are still nothing of interest. I really liked the last episode but so far season three has been only decent at best, just like season two. At least Thor 2 is only two hours long and easy to re-watch.

Eh...that's a tough call. I'll give you a couple on that count. It's better than Ant-Man, and I'd say it's a close call between SM3 and Iron Man 2.
