Spider-Man The Official "I Loved Raimi's Spider-Man' Thread - Part 1 of 99 Luft - - - - Part 13

Something chilling occurred to me recently, having to do with those awesome scenes with the Goblin persona lurking in the mirrors of Osborn Manor. It's one thing for the Goblin formula to manifest a split personality in Norman, one that only he can see like a crazy person. But then we got that scene at the end of SM2 where Harry sees his father's ghost in the mirror (AVENGE ME!!!) and happens to stumble on the Goblin's equipment, which Harry definitely didn't know was back there.

It's almost like one of the Goblin's super-human abilities is that it can survive beyond Norman's death as a literal spectre.

I initially thought that was how they were going to bring him back in NWH at first, like retconning Norman's ghost appearances as something genuinely supernatural and not just a part of Harry's delusions.

On another note, I recommend you guys checking out NWH's concept art book. A lot of cool stuff on there featuring the Raimiverse villains.

Yeah I just got it in the mail yesterday but I haven't had a chance to look through it.

Molina in the classic Doc Ock suit would have been beautiful. Although, this does give me an idea...

The classic outfit would've been cool, but I'm glad they went with the Raimi verse, with an included turtle neck. If they had gone with another design, as a variant, I think the white suit would've been cool.

I really do love NWH. I just wish they would have included the deleted Tobey Spidey vs green goblin scene. It's still weird how they don't say anything to each other in the film.

They could have struck gold and included that scene in the extended edition, but Sony gonna Sony. And now, as I've said numerous times before, that scene will be locked in a vault with all the deleted Spider-Man 3 and TASM 2 material for probably forever. Even if unfinished, I still would have liked to see it but alas.

What's crazy/sad is that I was visiting NYC in June of 2007. No idea if these things were still up at the point (I assume no if it was a month later) but either way I definitely missed them :/

I don’t think the window displays would’ve still been up, but the inflatable Spider-Man should’ve still been there. I also came across this picture which looks to be taken around December 2007 and the giant Spider-Man is still in the lobby.

Those pictures are fantastic and so creative. The Raimi trilogy had some crazy hype.
Absolutely. The hype for the first one was insane. One of the few superhero films in my lifetime that felt like a big event. However, the marketing for 3 was great as well. You would’ve had to have been living under a rock to not know that these films were coming because they just plastered Spider-Man on everything.

I was browsing Flickr when I came across these awesome window display pictures from 2007 at the Sony building in New York. The pictures are taken by a user named Xpressbus. Here’s the link to his account: xpressbus

I remember this. Man, it really makes me realize how much time has passed since then. Even just looking at the TVs they haven on display there. It's like a time capsule.

Hot Toys never fails to impress. Its nice to see SM-3 get some love, what with this and the black suit being in the new PlayStation game.

I already pre-ordered that Hot Toys figure! Although, having to wait for it to finally be released with be the hard part. I'm betting it will be another year before I can get my hands on it. :annoyed:
