Any bad actors? I'd imagine January would be considering she's been pointed out as bland in a number of reviews.

There are things in FC that go against all the existing films, and things that tie in to all the existing films.

Can I ask you, since you are a fan of X3, and without spoiling, you feel X3 was tied and embraced equally with the other movies in "First Class"?

I know that.

I just didn't know that you were a big-time media/blogger that got in on the early screening.

Yep. We get invited to premieres/press conferences/screenings fairly regularly. I don't get chance (ie time) to get to a lot of them but had to make the effort for this one!

Is that a real costume? It kind of looks a bit makeshift. That bra is a bit big.

If by real costume, you mean if she wears it in the film, then yes.

I had a chance to watch her in the behind the scenes footage and I'll admit, it just works on her. Especially with the flowing cape and the way she carries herself. So it's not as distracting as you may think.

Hmmm. Tricky one. I would say that the comedy moments and the more fantastical action scenes (flying, big action scenes etc) did remind me tonally, to some extent, of the more colourful nature of X3. That's probably the touch of Vaughn, who embraces that aspect more than Singer. And also because comic book movies are now more 'confident' in the material rather than toning it down too much.

At other times it seemed more Singer-like, particulary emphasised by the re-creation of an X1 scene.

Story-wise, some small things mentioned/implied in X1 and X2 are contradicted (though only fans will notice/remember/nitpick) and the opening scene of X3 is contradicted (along with the end of Wolverine).

Overall, it felt like it belonged to the same franchise as all the films, but there are obviously attempts to align it more to the earlier films through its running time, pacing, more fully-explored story and the re-creation of a key scene that tells the audience this is intended as a return to the older values of the franchise.

Great answer.

it's not really, it's just disabled for embedding. click the 'watch on youtube' link and you'll see it.

Wow. That clip made me love January Jones and movie White Queen some more. :hrt::wow:

"I wouldn't call it a war exactly; That suggests both sides stand an equal chance of winning.."

Awesome.

Good viewpoint from her. I suppose it makes sense, considering where she ended up being in alignment with - in the comics that is.

Jones very much fits Emma. I was hoping she would not have that d@mn British accent. Thank God.

I liked her subtle squint ( like what Jean Grey did in X2 when she sensed Xavier in dark cerebro) when she is reading the agents' thoughts in the CIA room.

Or was that she was doing? I should've guessed. Clever.
If that room was designed to keep out thoughts, I now see why she cut a circle in the glass. And here I thought she was making a statement... which is something I wouldn't put past her either.
