Guys, lol, I'm sorry for just appearing out of the blue here but I wanted to share this---just aesthetically, I've always thought this person would look awesome as Lex

He's someone I know actually, lol. But to me he has the look, especially when he shaves his head. I have more pics if anyone's interested, just for fun

He doesn't look at all like Lex to me.

Lex has to have a commanding, charismatic presence, with a lot of pride. Can't just be some bald guy who looks a little sinister.

Yeah he does lack the authoritative thing there----his personality is nowhere near Lex's. I just like the shape of his face. I definitely think Lex needs the chiseled thing going on; and I think that's why Mackenzie Gray would be so great for him.

LOL "just some bald guy who looks a little sinister" - so true. I'm gonna tell him you said that, hahaha.

Re: the Tom Cruise suggestions... I can see it. I think he could pull off the charismatic / arrogant schtick and be menacing too

Christain Bale has the right idea about Cruise. I always thought Cruise was one creepy mofo and never bought the goody two shoes act so why the hell not? He should play more villains.

Too bad Patrick Stewart has already been used for Marvel. I always thought he'd make a good Lex as well. I have a feeling my Lex tastes are a little bit different than most's though!

I definitely, without a doubt though, lean toward the Lex types from the Justice League cartoons, and more recently some of the DC animated features.

I think he'd be a powerful villain, especially if played at first as if he's plausibly good. He pays for Metropolis' reconstruction, he's generous, he's well beloved by the city - and then he gives a speech about how he believes Superman is a hero but he also believes his presence on earth is a threat, and that he implores Superman to leave. Plants the seeds of doubt in the minds of the people so that when Supes doesn't leave they begin to doubt him and fear him. He should be very slick, very manipulative, very cunning, and very charismatic.

Lex having hair wouldn't affect me too much. It would be like Lois not having dark hair, I'd get over it.

For a second, I thought you said, "It would be like Lois not having hair, I'd get over it." :yay:

Honestly, I had never thought about it before, but I think Tom Cruise could be a potentially awesome Lex.

Eh, maybe. But then it would become less a Superman movie, and more a Tom Cruise movie.

The media has too much of a weird relationship with Cruise. Remember all the attention "TomKat" received from the press during the release of Batman Begins? Instead of talking about the new film, all the news outlets were buzzing about the new relationship. I agree that he would make an interesting Lex, but I prefer that he stays far away from this franchise.

That stuff was only because of the crazy antics he was performing at that time. None of his films since have gotten that kind of attention, and I think he's learned to lock it up during press time, lol.

Sounds good to me. I'm really liking the Cruise idea right now. But I doubt they could get such a huge expensive actor for the role.

:funny: You are hilarious ArmsHeldOut.

^I say no. I like him but he is too much of a thug and can't do an American accent to save his life.

Actors can shave their heads for a role, just like they can dye their hair and put on muscle. Cavill dyed his hair and packed on muscle for the role, he didn't just look the way he did before filming.

Before you guys take another dump in my mouth, I'm judging mainly in the looks department. IMHO, he comes off and reeks of Lex Luthor, especially in Lex Luthor: Man of Steel or Pete Wood's depiction of Luthor.

But he doesn't really play intelligent con-artist-like businessman? I'd rather shave some dudes head who could act
