totally i think that would be very fitting to see happen across 3 films. First film he is the corupt guy, second film we see him trying to gain political office, and then 3rd film we see him take the presidental seat, but by the end of the film superman/lois are able to prove to the world how evil and wicked luthor really is. So then he is sent to the slammer. So then if there was another film, they can take the route of criminal mastermind trying to break out of prison and kill superman take.

Billy Crudup, Billy Zane, Timothy Olyphant (because of his awesome work in Deadwood and Justified, not because he was once bald for Hitman), or Guy Pearce (I always thought he'd be a better fit for Lex than one of the Batvillains).

If he wasn't cast as Sinestro, he'd be perfect for Lex. Great presence, great voice...good villain.

How about Ewan McGregor? I haven't heard him try an "American accent" before, but the guy can act.

I have. It's not good. He's improved over the years, but it still doesn't sound quite right.

Some names I think could be interesting are Adrien Brody, Eric Bana, Peter Facinelli, Jude Law, Idris Elba, Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Edward Norton, and Nicolas Cage

I don't like Norton for the role only because of his involvement with The Incredible Hulk/Avengers. I don't like seeing multiple superhero/villain roles. Kinda like what's happening with Chris Evans as Captain America.

I love Ewan McGregor for Lex. I also would love to see him as The Riddler in Nolan's Batman series.

Papa Winchester would make a better Jonathan Kent or Perry White, in my opinion.

If you have seen him in Road To Perdition, you know he can play the "heavy", but he also has the charm needed to fool the people of Metropolis into thinking he is a "good guy".

It would give the film almost instant credibility too, kind of like Brando in Superman The Movie.

ive said it before and ill say it again, if there is anyone who can give us an irritating, slimy, hypocritical leech who can stab someone in the back without hesitation, then this is your man.

This guy would give us the most exciting potrayal of Lex Luthor ever and it would be natural too.

Actually, this isn't a half-bad suggestion. Guy is like a chameleon, he disappears into his role.

Zane is STAS Lex Luthor. He has the voice, the look, the tan, he is even half Greek (like Lex in the animated series).

I'd definitely cast him but i'm afraid that they'll go for someone less obvious. Nolan likes to surprise.
