Well I like Liv Tyler. I think she's a very solid choice. I don't know why they didn't bring Jennifer Connelly back. It's not tlike she's that busy and it's not like the new casting is a step down if she didn't want to come back.

Zak Penn writting credits hasn't impressed me, but then again he's from under FOX's shadow, so maybe we'll see if it was his talents that made crappy Elektra or him doing the best he can with FOX suits hampering his skills.

She's openly said that she was disappointed in the first movie, why would she come back for a sequel? I don't have the interview, but she called Hulk "an interesting idea that didn't quite gel" in a mini magazine called USATODAY WEEKEND in my local paper.

I can buy that. Considering her appearance on "Inside the Actor's Studio" Jennifer seemed almost grateful that there was an applause for Ang Lee's HULk when it was mentioned as part of her filmography. And it's nothing new that some actor's can be a bit reluctant in reprising a role in a film that may or may not have been a box office success.

More I think about it, more I think Liv will be the ideal classic damsell in distress hottie instead of the artsy actress playing a scientist. Hulk is gonna be her King Kong.

Well, i've never heard her openly say she was dissapointed in it, the fact that she rarely, if ever, mentions it in interviews speak's volumes for what she thought of it IMO. It was also obvious to me in 2003 that she only took the role because of Ang Lee.

I'll give Liv a chance. Don't get me wrong but after seeing the previous cast, it feels like we're getting a degraded version of those characters or god help me for this reference Batman Forever.

I understand the reasons why. I just can't get past not bringing in the original cast though.

I think everything is an upgrade in this film. Ang Lee is a more acclaimed director of course but for this type of film I think Louis will make a better Hulk movie than Ang...and I loved Ang's film for what it was.

I'm still giving the film a shot. I loved the cartoons, the live action version, but on some level I find that Ang's cast just hooked me again.

I'm hyped that Zak Penn is behind the screenplay.

I'm just trying to get my mind into the transition. Whenever they change actors, I always think it's a degrade, but I'm not going to judge anything until we see a full trailer. I'm all for the action. All for it. Wanted more in Ang's version.

Well, someone had to do it. t: Personally, I'm still looking forward to Liv Tyler's perfromance as Betty Ross. Even though I love Jennifer Connelly as an actress, hopefully Liv Tyler will do a much better job than her & do Betty Ross justice.

Yeah. I would have preferred Connelly back, but with this being basically a reboot I believe Liv will do fine. She's a good choice. Looking forward to see what her chemistry with Norton is like.

Agreed. I wouldn't have had a problem with Connelly coming back but I just didn't like her version of Betty Ross. However, if she did come back, her character would've probably been made more like her comic book counterpart. Either way, I still want to see what Liv brings to the table.

Eh...not a big fan of Tyler's. But, I've only seen her in LOTR. Maybe she's a better actress than I assume.

I would have loved to see Lena Headey take the role, but she's got Terminator now.

Connelly is easier on the eyes but hopefully Tyler will portray a better Betty Ross than her.

Connelly is certainly more beautiful I think. Tyler isnt bad either. Just not quite as good of an actress as Connelly in my estimation. Still, I dont think Liv was bad casting. Connelly has a good successor as Betty Ross when it comes to Tyler.

It's not really your place to say Connelly was the better Betty Ross since no one has seen the movie yet.
