I think Greene has spunk, something that Kate Bosworth was lacking tremondously.

I honestly don't know what Kidder did before Superman and Hatcher and Durance are from TV-versions so thats pretty different compared to a big budget movie. If they would cast Greene in a new TV-show I probably wouldn't care, but for a movie you need a capable actress.
I remember Bosworth get some credibility because of Blue Crush, but I didn't see the movie so I don't know. Also Boswoth was miscast for the role (as was Holmes in Batman Begins and I think Lively will in Green Lantern) and that could happen to someone as inexperienced like Greene too. And spunk just isn't enough...

That video just shows her playing the average pretty friend/girlfriend...Don't see anything that says Lois Lane, neither her looks (too young looking, baby-doll-face) nor her acting, sorry. I think you might just have too much of a crush on her...

It would be any directors dream to have Rebecca Hall in their film, but I think she looks too old for Cavill. Olivia Wilde has Lois in the bag.

That really makes no sense. Plenty of pretty girls have great personality. Having said that, Greene doesn't strike me as Lois. (I'm with you on that.) Hall is okay, but I think there are better choices for the role out there.

Now I always thought the "only American" for Superman actor was garbage rumor. However I must say in terms of logic, I don't quite see then going with a Brit for Lois as well. It makes more sense if Superman who is not from earth can be a foreign actor. If Lois is not played by an American I'd be a little more surprised. That is just my opinion. I don't know how much that knocks down the list of choices anyway, but just something I'm considering when thinking of choices.

I think what irritates me is when people get on their high horse (No pun intended. Or maybe I should say Rebecca Hall Horse ) and get offended when people give their own opinion.

This isn't a forum where you can randomly bash actresses looks to make you feel better it's a LOIS LANE CASTING THREAD. Which means people can discuss who they want for Lois.

Posting a picture of a nerd at a computer screen isn't going to do anything either. So what if someone's a fanboy? Pretty much everyone here is a fanboy or fangirl, you are allowed to have an opinion on an actress.

If someone wants to say Hall looks like a Horse or a geek so be it. They aren't saying it for the sake of it, they're saying it because, they damn well don't want her near the Lois role.


I want Olivia Wilde but I wouldn't have a hissy fit or little tantrum if someone didn't agree with me.

Just let people say want they want to say.

I don't want to convince you that Hall is suitable for Lois (because she wouldn't be my top choice either) I just said that I would pick her over Greene, because she's a far better actress and could pull it off because of her talent.

You are totally right on that!
But speaking of actresses, there are a lot of beautiful actresses who have problems giving their roles personality. There are too many young actresses in Hollywood who get cast because of their look and not their talent...

Just because Olivia Wilde is the "IT GIRL" now doesn't mean she is perfect for Lois now.

So yeah, I think Ashley Green is better for Lois than Olivia Wilde because nobody here have no good reason to rule out Ashley Greene from the running. I mean, she isn't main stream just like Cavill, and I can picture both of them on screen than Olivia and Cavill.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that I think she has the exact look I'd want for Lois. There's something behind that smile that says she has a strong sense of indepence and a keen eye for what's going on around here. She's pretty but not soft if you get my meaning. She looks like she could throw cutting barbs at Luthor and cut right to the point with people. I think Lois should not be the star struck little school girl around Superman. I think she's should be a strong, independent woman who is also very attractive. A superwoman in her own right.

Her nose might be natural but it looks like she's had something done to it to have that pinched-in look.

i dont know man. ive seen quite a number of people support Ashley Greene around the board. I don't think she is the absolute best choice, but i would definitely take greene over hall 10 tiimes out of 10
