I have thrown her name out once before, but without explanation or a pic, so.

Sarah Shahi. She does have to be professionally dressed and she plays a feisty woman. Also, she is a brown belt and an avid horse rider, so she is athletic. She played a very convincing cop in Life. So while she may be relatively unknown, I would have no concerns with her acting abilities.

Plus, she is 30 and LOOKS 30, so believing she is established wouldn't be an issue I don't think.

Sarah is a hot babe, majorly. And she certainly displays qualities of LL on her show..

But she's a wrong pairing with Henry Cavill...

She may have been good alongside a 30 something guy as Superman. Amusing that she's paired up with Michael Trucco on her series.

She is also 5'4, which I thought would help with Cavill being 6'1. That and to me, Kidder looked older than Reeve and Hatcher looked older than Cain, both of which worked.

I really think Sarah Shahi could pass for a woman in her late 20s. I think she'd look fine next to Cavill, but I don't know that she's right for Lois Lane.

She pretty much plays Lois Lane on her show "Fairly Legal" and at the very least does a more convincing job than CW's Lois..Durance.

But again, she comes off older than her age.

It would have been a great thing if she was paired up with Routh, Hamm or Manganiello... but I don't buy her as LL opposite Cavill.

Perhaps that's why she's paired up with someone as old as Michael Trucco on this show.

I don't know. I get your point but I just don't see an issue. She doesn't look any older than Kidder did to Reeve or Hatcher did to Cain. In L&C, we saw Clark when he first came to Metropolis and I wouldn't have had any problems believing it if you told me Hatcher's Lois was 35 at the time.

I absolutely agree with you. As a youngster growing up watching the movies and later L&C. I thought she was older and also I thought that it was done on purpose. Even on SV it felt like she was older when she was brought on. Still does.

I'd also like to add that in those clips her character is a great "Lois". At least that's how I would like Lois.

That's exactly what I think. When I watch Shahi, she just looks "established" for lack of a better word. I watched her on Life and I watch her on Fairly Legal and what I see - as it pertains to the Lois Lane character - is professional, feisty, athletic and believable as an adult in the working world, not to mention 5'4 which still makes her a chick that needs saving despite her ability to handle herself.

Yeah, like I said earlier she could pull off Lois Lane... just not with Cavill. It's beyond likely we'll get someone in the Blake Lively age range. Definitely not someone older than the male lead.

Heck, Cavill himself is playing Clark in his "early 20s" too.

Sarah definitely comes off as older, which is why she works so well on that show and is believable.

So my logical choice for the role is pretty much Olivia Wilde like everyone else.
My more left field type choices are Anna Kendrick and Gemma Arterton.
Some other choices I like but I don't know if they could pull it off are Ashley Greene, Sophia Bush, and Jessica Stroup

It's weird because I LOVE Olivia Wilde. I'm a huge House fan and think she does a fantastic job. For some reason though I am just not feeling it like everyone else. As some have said about others, I just don't see it as "a fit".

I have no argument. I have absolutely no idea why. Just not seeing it. Maybe I'm holding her look against her as she looks as young as Kate; maybe unfairly. As I said, just doesn't fit for me.

I totally agree, Wilde just isn't the right fit, I can't picture her as Lois Lane,,,,, but be careful about disagreeing with Wilde, people butt's start hurting in this thread.
