Then the lighting musta been perfect because homegirl normally doesn't look like that. Check out these pictures. What is attractive about that?

Rachel McAdams is still tied with Olivia Wilde for Lois for me.

I do care if she is older, she look young and is obviously aging well. PICK HER ZACK.

....Or Olivia.

I like her look in these picks. Kinda reminds me of Durance a bit. I'd actually prefer that Rachel look more like this as Lois Lane then dye her hair black.

McAdams is my top choice but she might be too old now. I think we'll get someone between 21-28.

Yeah, I'm still hoping Olivia Wilde or Rachel McAdams wind up being cast as Lois Lane.

Yeah at 32 the onset of osteoporosis must have started. By the end of filming she'd likely need a Zimmer/walker. :cwink:

Somehow I think if she auditioned, looks late 20's and has good chemistry with Henry that Snyder wouldn't look at here resume and go, "She's perfect, has the acting ,the look, the personality, but damn the audience knows she is actually 32-33. Oh well...NEXT!"

Rachel just seems like a really good, solid choice. Likeable, mighty purty and a good actress.

She does look a bit older doesnt she? :csad: Other than that she's a fine casting choice.

Some pics of Jessica Stroup. She looks a lot like Hatcher (Lois) to me.

Stroup is a terrible actress, imo.

I just saw Morning Glory, and I still think McAdams looks roughly the same age as Henry, and is still charming as ever. Her character in that should have been annoying, and if played by anyone else, she almost certainly would have been. But McAdams somehow managed to make her completely lovable. And if Lois is written properly, I think that's a quality that the actress who plays her will unequivocally need to have. Of the options we've been given, she's definitely got my vote.

If they are looking at people like Kristen Stewart and Amanda Seyfried, they are probably looking for a younger Lois. I'm really starting to think they passed on McAdams and Wilde now. They are popular actresses and they've had months to lock them down. Waiting would mean they would lose them to other films.

McAdams is definitely the (much) better actress. I just watched the trailer for Morning Glory and she is perfect! It seems like a fun movie, i'm gonna watch it. It is a fun movie right?

I propose Jessica Stroup. She really looks like Teri Hatcher, my favourite live action Lois.

I would also like to second the opinion that Biel looks trashy. She's beautiful, but Lois? No way.

Also, Wilde is freaking boring. Just from hearing her voice you'd think that she's so bored she's going to kill herself any minute now. She's beautiful and popular with fanboys, but she definitely doesnt have the spark and spunk for Lois. She's also thinner than a twig and that's not how Lois should look like.

I've been defending her ability to pull of the role for a loooooooong time. I have posted pics, clips, interviews... but even I have to accept she is unlikely to ever get the role. She doesn't seem like Snyder's type, and she is very inexperienced. Heck, I have no idea if it's even the kind of role SHE would want.

She will always be the Lois Lane of my dreams though :D

I'm sorry, all I see is an incredibly hot girl.

And as I said, Snyder wouldn't have cast her in Sucker Punch if he didn't think so too. So I really don't think it matters whether you think she is attractive or not. It's about the likelihood of him picking her, which at this moment in time, seems quite high compared to other candidates.

That's exactly one of the qualities I saw in Stroup actually... she's got kind of an annoying character, but she somehow makes her likeable at the same time.

who says they auditioned for lois

and Stewart never auditioned

No but Stewart was approached. It shows what kind of age range they are looking for. I'm guessing around the early to mid 20's. My guess is that Snyder will go with a 20'ish credible actress.

As far as looks go she's PERFECT for it. McAdams is very close as well. Wilde is very far from looking the part.... in my humble opinion at least.

Lois is supposed to be like that. Annoying but in a funny, cute way. Besides every scene with Hatcher, have a look at this for some Lois fun:

Snyder is not going to follow the Costner and Diane Lane casting with Jessica Stroup. He is grounding this film in realism with great actors. Stroups resume doesn't really cut it.

I'm no supporter of Stroup but consider Batman Begins, did Katie Holmes resume cut it compared to the rest of that cast? certainly not.

I guess I don't see what people are liking about abbie cornish. Mildly unattractive with mediocre acting ability. No way she's getting the role.

Most of the fan choices are far superior.

True but I think there's abit more required of a role like Lois Lane and I actually thought Katie was ok in Batman Begins I just didn't like the way she was in the media after the films release.

have you actually seen her movies?

Bright Star
Somersault
Candy

It's total fluff, but yeah. And tbh, it's the most I've enjoyed Harrison Ford in a LOOONG time.

And RE: Abbie Cornish - she may not be Lois to me, but she is NOT a mediocre actress by a longshot. She's great. Somersault and Bright Star are evidence enough of that. I haven't seen anything in her characters to suggest that she's even remotely right for Lois, though.

I've seen candy, stop-loss, and bright star. Solidly mediocre.

She certainly had more experience than Stroup. Heck I don't even know if Wilde is a strong enough actress anymore for Snyder's realistic take and Wilde is heads above Stroup. We have Diane Lane and Costner in the film and we know Cavill is solid. Snyder will not want anyone coming off as weak.
